The actually thing called Freesat, is the one that has nothing to do with Sky.  That is what I'm getting at.  Sky's version, is sky which you don't pay anything for.

I did know about Sky's version, but I didn't know it was called Freesat.

 

The other freesat version is nothing to do with BSKYB, although I do believe it's the most popular though as you can buy it from any electronic retailer etc.
