Technically he is our player "again". We had a mandatory buyback clause after two years at Roma. The whole thing was always a glorified loan.

Scattergun approach. To be fair, Peruzzi and Diakite should be good signings but the rest are incredibly risky.

What's happening with the Peruzzi deal? Hope he doesn't go there like.

Argentine season only officially finished last week and he wanted to stay 'til then. I suspect dealing with South American clubs (even well run ones like Velez), players and agents comes with a myriad of problems too. Unless he's stalling to try and get a move to Italy/Spain.

Younes Belhanda joins Dynamo Kiev.

Fee believed to be 10M Euros.

So outdated even Giggs wouldn't endorse this.

Don't really see how Shelvey will fit into Swansea's midfield, are they trying to phase out Britton? Guess they are prepping for the Waffa cup too.

Ki, Britton, Betis lads 1 & 2, Shelvey, De Guzman, Michu, etc.

That's some mad squad depth in central midfield for a club on a relatively modest budget (albeit a fantastically well run one).

Didn't realise they signed two players from Betis

I also forgot about Ki  he's a decent player IMO.

The College Dropout

Like I said before - if you buy a young English player. While the value is inflated, as long as they show some promise that inflated value remains until at least their mid 20's. 6m for Shelvey is an example.

raphael honigstein ‏@honigstein 7m

Mario Götze wore a Nike t-shirt at his FC Bayern unveiling today. Club sponsor Adidas not best pleased.

Could do with a bit more subtle tbf.

Fairly cheap, considering he's English.

His name doesn't sound English and his face is pretty foreign lookin', probably just slipped under the 2X MULTIPLIER radar.
