Other clubs' transfers

He the keeper? Always liked the look of him based on little. Doesn't get anywhere near Brazil squad it seems despite there being a lack of talent in that area.

Fair enough Norwich have been in the hunt for some nice names, but anyone can do that, i just don't understand what Norwich are actually offering to attract them to sign?

Likes of Swansea/Southampton, they've sort of got the foreign type manager in, playing nice brand of football, can see why a few might turn up and play for them. However Norwich are just shit. Just don't understand what would lure you in to playing for them.

Village Idiot

Aye, the new TV contract has given even the lowliest PL clubs some amazing pull, it seems.

Surely they haven't got that much though to wipe out other competition? At the end of the day, all clubs got given the big bucks TV deal.

The selling clubs like Sporting Lisbon and Spanish clubs sans Real and Barca are in desperate need of funds too.

Depends who else is interested though, look at our January signings or just our signings in general over the last few years.

The College Dropout

We signed a first teamer from Ajax. Always in Europe, mostly in the Champions League.

We've also signed a Ligue 1 championship winning captain.

Being a bigger club just means we should be spending more money than Norwich et al. That's all.

Tomorrow's papers say Bony is signing for Swansea (£12m) and Spearing is off to Blackburn (£1.5m).

Urgh, that means every week the MOTD commentator will say "the man who was a bricklayer not long ago.."

Very sorry to hear this. He's definitely better than Blackburn. I wish we'd show respect to him and let him wait in summer to get an offer from a better championship or lower PL club.

Bolton's player of the season last year and he's had some top games against top teams before (owning Yaya Toure). Really don't want him to go to that circus of a club  :'(

Diego Forlan to Toronto

s***, I'm gonna watch Toronto games now.

That would be the only reason to, I'm pretty sure they're terrible. He could have come to a decent team at least.. He still looked like a dangerous player in the Confederations Cup. It seems like he shouldn't have to play in MLS yet, but I thought that about Henry too. Good for the league tho.

Woah, okay.

If he can score goals for Internacional, he can score them for Toronto. I'm still not sure what the hell Ryan Nelsen is doing up there though. I don't think he knows either.

Forlan's still a very good player, certainly has what it takes to play at a high level in MLS.

Though Toronto hasn't had the best of luck with aging DPs in recent seasons.

Is stuff like this good for the league, or just good for the owners?

In terms of status, reputation and fan interest in the league, then yes. Who knows if it actually leads to the team being successful.
