The other games today - 2011/12

 Cheers for that, Robbie. Barca are probably one of the best teams in the world.

It's probable, but until they prove they can handle Stoke on a cold...

Why, are they going to sneeze on them?

Drogba could cause Barca serious trouble with his power and aeriel strength especially if Pique is missing (i know he went off injured but not sure how bad, looked like a possible hamstring).  They'll get beat in the Nou Camp but could win the first leg at Stamford Bridge.  Just hope they have two hard tough games and pick up a few injuries that effect them in the run in so we can overtake them.

Piqué is fine. It's a doubt for the weekend but that's it.

Gotta respect Chelsea, but we are a better team than we were in 2009, and they are a far worse one.

Barca will dismantle Chelsea home and away. Can see it being something daft like 5 or 6-1 on aggregate. The gulf in class and quality is massive.

Fucking love RTE's no holds barred, amateur football coverage.

Presenter asks pundits if Chelsea can beat Barcelona, he's instantly dismissed and accused of being a closet Chelsea fan.

In theory thats true but Chelsea wont allow it to be an open game, they will park the proverbial "plane" in thier penalty area and make it as difficult as possible.

Barca will go through but it wont be the embarrassment that it really should be when you compare the two teams on paper.

Think Chelsea will do well personally. Don't think they're a good season side over a season, and they're decidedly unincisive and lacking in offensive weaponry, but for individual games - they're capable of turning in a decent performance with a kind of grit in central areas which Arsenal and Man Utd lack.

They're not as good as they once were in this respect, but they're better than any other English side I can think of in this regard. Wouldn't be surprised if they shocked a few people.

Park the plane  who is this guy? Does he do bar mitzvahs?

 basically means they will put 11 men behind the ball and do everything they can to prevent any kind of space in and around the penalty box.

Park the bus.

Indeed but a plane would be wider and bigger than a bus and they need to defend the whole width of the pitch thus why i used Plane instead of Bus  ;)

Also Mourinho said parked the plane before aswell after he knocking Barca out at Inter so its not exactly a brand new concept.

He also started the park the bus aswell.... Mourinho the visionary  :frantic:

The term "park the bus" has been used in Spain since god knows when. He probably picked it up while here.
