NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Suggesting Saylor at RB is pure stupidity in my position.

Id rather we got M'biwa who may be happy being a rotation option and get a quality LB so our back four looks like...

Santon---Saylor---Coloccini---Pieters/Cissokho

M'biwa covering the whole back like and Williamson 4th choice CB.

No thanks if we are going to buy Vertonghen then Taylor goes to the bench, i want two quality fullbacks not one quality one and a CB at RB.

Think Saylor would do quite well at RB if he can get back to his old self from the start of the season. A lot are scarred by his 'horror show' last March but reckon he'd surprise people.

Taylor at RB Wasn't bad 5 years ago, he has settled at CB now though and looks good there.

That said if we sign another CB to partner Colo he might be trying to get in anywhere he can or moving somewhere else, cant see him wanting to be 3rd choice.

If it came to the point of us having Colo, Saylor and Vertonghen, Saylor will fit in quite nicely as our third centerback.

If not, has he ever been considered at right back? Has all the attributes imo.

Super Duper Branko Strupar

Saylor is worse at RB than he is a CB. We should buy a quality natural RB otherwise we aren't really strengthening.

We already have one.

 Good point. I should have added 'or preferably a left back'. Either would do.

Oh, I'd much rather buy a proper one but I don't think he'd do as badly as expected if needed to fill in.

Signing Clyne would be very nice. Tavernier stepping up could be an option too, Simpson needs the competition.

The Taylor at right back horror seems really blown out of proportion based on one (?) game.

Obviously he is a centre back first and foremost but I can't see why he can't perform at a decent level at right back.

Centre back and full back are two completely different positions. Not sure how being decent in one qualifies a player for the other. More specifically, Taylor isn't anywhere near a good enough attacking footballer to be a serious option for right back.
