I knew Obertan was gash before he came so my expectations weren't particularly high. I'll go with Simpson. There was a time where i thought he could develop into a good player, particularly after a promising last season. It's not going to happen now. Best Game Attended: Haven't been to many, so i'll say the Blackburn cup game. Best Result: There's been some crackers, but it's hard to pick a better one than smashing Manu. Best performance, too. Goal Of The Season: Between Cisse's against Chelsea and Ben Arfa's against Blackburn. Can't decide. Best Signing: Cisse's got the potential to be one of the best signings in our history, but in the context of purely this season, it's got to be Ba. Cisse wouldn't even be here if it weren't for him, and we wouldn't have had our early results that made us an attractive option. Vital signing. Best Prospect: Santon looks like a special player and has established himself in the first team, but from what i've seen from the development squad, Vuckic. Most Disappointing Player: Rob Elliot? Best Game Attended: Wigan at home. Disappointed with myself for only going to two games, the other being Chelsea at home. Hashtag recession. Best Result: 3-0 Man Utd or 2-0 Liverpool. Both couldn't have been more perfect. Goal Of The Season: HBA v Blackburn is the one I've rewatched the most, but seen as Papisto v Chelsea is the goal of the season... Many positives and a lot of praise deserves to be given to a lot of people, but that was a perfect performance from Demba Ba. One of the best I've seen. His composure made everyone around him better. Absolutely incredible. MOTM. Ba 10 The perfect performance. More than a goal and incredible hold-up play, that was actually a captain's performance too. When we started to get nervy after taking the lead, he calmed everyone the fuck down by being superb, measured and intelligent. Just fantastic.
