Still Not Worthy Of A Thread

Does anyone else, upon hearing a member of the national media refer to Stamford Bridge as "The Bridge" or, even worse, White Hart Lane as "The Lane" feel a bit of sick coming up to the back of their mouth, or is it just me?

Nah, I think most people feel that way. The over familiarisation of commentators with things like that in an attempt to be a part of it.

Village Idiot

To be honest Spanish commentators shorten stadium names a lot ("El Bernabéu", "El Calderón", "El Villamarín"), even in print media, and I don't see much malice in it.

Matter of time until the press get bored of destroying Sterling and move on to Kane. The press are scum and part of the problem with English football

The clip of Sky Sports on Facebook, man. Every relatively high-profile football manager or player who could be on the move:

'IS HE ON HIS WAY TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE?'

Fuck off.

That'd be disgusting. I love Klopp, please don't do it Kloppy. Please.

That said, prem could do with some more characters. Boring collection of clogger-loving arseholes like Bruce, Charva, Pulis etc. At least Mourinho has a bit of an interesting persona, albeit tedious and annoying.

Not sure how he would do with Man City's collection of overpaid and care-free mercenaries. Would be a big risk for everyone.

I'm tired of "characters". I just want good football in the division. Klopp would bring that.

Wonder if Tuchel got the heads up and that's why he backed out the Hamburg job.

Bild reckon Tuchel has the job.

Sid Lowe reckons Madrid and Barca will be interested in Klopp.

Is there really a chance Ancelotti leaves Madrid this summer?

Big chance. Anything short of a La Liga win and the chances are pretty high. From what I read, they might hold onto Ancelotti a further year just to give Zidane more time.

I'd say so, due to the fact the club is a circus.

Manager wise yes. They've been very good in the transfer market in recent years.

They've averaged net spends of only £20m the last couple of seasons. Buy young players or players right bang in their prime years and sell for big fees.

In that type they've signed Bale, James, Kroos & Isco. Tip top players.

It's well run in many ways.
