He must be in some deep shit for that to happen :yikes:

Barcelona star Lionel Messi will go on trial in Spain over tax fraud with the State Attorney recommending he be jailed for 22 months.

Not that I could ever see it happening, but I would be pretty fucking angry if they sent (arguably) the best football player ever to jail for 22 months

Isn't the system meant to represent the best interests of the people? Just suspend the sentance until he retires so he'll keep playing till he's 52.

The day before he retires he flees to Argentina and never returns Maradona style

If Spain put Messi in jail I think that would do more for the pro-Catalan independence campaign than anything else could

Won't he be tried in Catalonia anyway?

All the rumours appear to be true. Absolute disgrace.

@AmyLewisSport: Taxpayers will pay for ticket checkers, medical staff & cleaners at West Ham games at the Olympic Stadium @SkySportsNewsHQ can reveal

@AmyLewisSport: The club also won't have to pay for turnstile operators, much of the security and steward personnel and catering staff on match days.

Gotze out for 10-12 weeks

Seems to have been a bad season so far for longer term injuries (Fekir, Messi, Gotze, Welbeck, Bournemouth trio etc...)
