It can't helped. 1990 was the first time I even knew what football was, my dad's not particularly arsed about football but I saw Spurs in '91 and decided I was a Spurs fan because I liked their Holsten kit, so he took umbrage and bought me a Newcastle strip and the annual that Christmas.
