Urgh ... hope his career goes down in flames. Hideous little creep.

Nah, he knows he's better than Liverpool. They'll get a more than fair price for him which they can reinvest in several players.

It's unreasonable to expect loyalty from the modern footballer.

What's he realistically going to win at Liverpool? This isn't another Rodwell, Sinclair, Moses situation, he's more than good enough to play for a team winning the league.

Oh please, just stop. You sound like the guys on TV, and it's annoying.

He is a 20 year old that came through at Liverpool and has been made a fixture in the first team.

Liverpool spend loads every year, and are committed to winning something, without question.

He's not at friggin Hull City for goodness sake. He's a greedy little snake that has got carried away with himself.

Everyone complains when players like Remy move for money, when a player seemingly wants to move to win trophies he gets criticised as well?

Why can't he help Liverpool win trophies? He's 20 years old ffs.

He is never moving to win trophies. How gullible are you? It's a filthy, cheap, excuse.

He's obvious not going to play for free at Man City or something but he's not going to Russia or Qatar ffs

Actually they signed him from QPR. Hypocritical to say he should show loyalty to Liverpool when if he'd shown that to QPR his career wouldn't have taken off. He's got the chance to go win titles, play every season in the Champions League, play alongside world class players, progress even further.

Say for example if he signs for Chelsea or Man C, would people still be saying the same things two years down the line if he signed for Real or Barca?

I'm sick of players showing no loyalty but players should still be allowed some career progression otherwise we'd be stuck with friggin Dummett and Taylor instead of the likes of Cabaye.

Completely agree.

He will move to Man City in replacement of Milner and be their "come on every now and again" man.

A disgraceful little tosser on and off the pitch, genuinely hope he moves and his career gets ruined wherever he goes.

The difference between he and Bale for example (Tottenham/Liverpool being similar level) is that Bale stayed at Tottenham for a few years and only gave up when they consistently failed to be a European team. Bale also did not force his way out like Sterling is trying.

It's not as if moneybags clubs won't line up for Sterling's signature either. And Liverpool's straight up lying if they say he's not for sale, they absolutely have a price set for him. It's only a matter of time before he moves on.

Can't believe people think Sterling pulling this garbage as a 20 year old kid that has had 2 decent seasons is a good thing. The kid is an idiot.

Why? What's he going to do at Liverpool the next 2-3 years that he can't do somewhere else? Other than not win the title or play in the Champions League year in, year out?

Liverpool should have shown ambition and kept Suarez or bought a world class player to replace him. He's good enough for the top 4 clubs. No difference between someone wanting to leave us, Villa, Etc for Liverpool, and wanting to leave Liverpool for one of the regular top 4.

Don't understand why anyone can defend him tbh. Everything that's wrong with the game these days. Depressing.

Yeah but it's the way things are. Unfortunate perhaps, but reality.

Also, fuck Liverpool so fucking much.

I can never root for this kid.

He's just letting his agent run his life. This guy's dad cannot be around in his life.

He's just destroyed hs reputation, and the pressure and spotlight is about to consume him.

He has to be grossly unintelligent and very very very foolish.

Good point, would people call Delph, for example, a cunt if he went to L'pool after Sterling left?

There's better examples out there of players being twats re: transfers then this one from Sterling. The irony is that if he said he was being loyal and wanted to see out his contract then Liverpool would be gutted.

Liverpool got it wrong in the summer, fair enough. They did go for Sanchez though, don't forget. But he turned them down.

He's just a coward. He should be relishing making that team his own, with Gerrard leaving.

I guess people are just built differently.

he and his agent will know the going rate on offer for his services, Liverpool clearly haven't matched this and in terms of on the pitch ambitions they've gone massively backwards so its hardly a surprise for him to think he can do better elsewhere.
