Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Recommended Posts

Ideal situation is probably bringing him on later in games to take advantage of the game being stretched and teams being tired.

Problem is that Willock and Longstaff were both so bad today that it's definitely tempting to start him ahead of those two.

Desperately need bodies in this week.

Wish he'd scored, great desire to win theheader.

Class feet at the end too. How that plodder Collins didn't get a yellow I don't know

Really bright cameo. Good ball for the goal, unlucky to hit the bar for the winner and then wins the free kick.

Hope Eddie starts to utilise him more. Can definitely be a door opener for us in tight games.

I think Howes manages squad politics well. Makes people wait for their chance and rewards them when they impress. He’ll start to get more game time now.

Armchair Pundit

Deffo needs to be on instead of Longstaff in the next match, maybe that's why Longstaff played today, keeping Anderson fresher.

Love how brave and confident he is. Would have no idea he was a 19 year old making his second appearance in the prem. always calling for the ball, looking to play it forward or take on defenders. Has a really bright future

Quite possibly better for us if he stays and better for him to get half a season in the Championship playing every game.

He needs to stay regardless of who we get in this week. Can make a massive difference coming on in the last 10/15 minutes of these kind of games. Could've had 2 goals in 5 minutes on another day.

Think he adds another dimension to this team coming off the bench. We’ve got the coaching set up to develop him now, massively excited for what he can do this season.

Howe is managing him right.   Sub apprearances become more frequent and for longer and then we will see if he is ready for a full game.

I like this boy a lot!

Most of all because he plays with desire, constantly shows and asks for the ball and is surprisingly strong on the ball with decent ball control.

He makes things happen for the team. We need that from those number 8 positions, please do not play Willock ahead of him anymore, especially if Bruno is out.

You can see the progress. He's not waltzing around players like he was doing week in at the Gas, but he's getting the measure of the divisions defending. I'm massively excited about him

Thinking man’s footballer who get’s his head up and can play a pass, great feet, can beat a man and has all the physical attributes of a young Rooney.

What a crying shame the takeover didn’t happen before Bobby Clark left, those 2 could have been tearing up the league in 2 years time for us.

Agree with comments. Need to keep him. Can be a useful sub this season. Working with the first team and Howe will improve him

It's the only thing missing.

Once he gets some air miles playing with Bruno he will be twice the player.

How to get him more minutes is going to be quite the trick, since I don't think the EFL cup is going to be enough

He needs more minutes and he deserves more minutes. Only reason Howe most likely will persist with Willock and Longstaff ahead of him is seniority and maintaining squad harmony. Anderson has out performed them during pre season, against Tranmere and against Wolves - basically every time he's given the opportunity.
