Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Doesn’t look ready, I agree. Don’t think he’s far off though but every time I see him play for us, he looks like he’s trying too hard and it’s affecting his composure

Still not seen a thing from him to suggest he will ever be PL quality, I know he hasn't had much time but good players you usually see something to get excited about, looks slow and sloppy.

Shocking today, i was one who totally wanted him to stay and play with the first team but now i think it's time for him to go somewhere and play with less pressure on him.

Very poor tonight but he will become some player in 2-3 years time. There is pure talent in that boy. He wants the ball, he has the touch and vision, only needs to sharpen some areas and play regular football.

EH said he is keeping him and not loaning him

That'd be a mistake then, with him not getting anywhere near enough regular minutes.

What is he good at really? Some nice touches and vision? Hes young but right now hes way off the PL and probably the CS also.

He seems to be getting worse every time I see him  but that's very likely recency bias. Obviously needs a loan and game time. Still has time to make it.

Criminal if he stays the full season with us.

Showed tonight why should have been sent out on loan in the summer.

Good loan for a team playing Howe-esque pressing football would be ideal. If the Wolves and Sheff Wed chances had gone in he’d probably be a lot more confident.

Needs to play football at a lower level.

He did play against lower level tonight and looked poor.

May have just been bigging his player up or trying to give him some confidence. Just in case he doesn’t get another midfielder in.

But you have to think that Howe, Ashworth and co watched that and realised that he needs game time. And also that we are going to be struggling in the league, if he starts more than a few games in midfield.

Clearly the wrong decision to keep him at the club in my opinion.

Doesn't seem to have progressed at all since pre-season, needs to play regular, competitive football.

Edit - obviously I mean we should have sent him on loan rather than get rid all together!
