TRon Posted October 22, 2023 Share Posted October 22, 2023 The thing is, when we bought him, no one was under any illusions he had any significant skills, we just thought he's a guy who could put the ball in the net. Never said he was great but could see the benefit of having a focal point as opposed none (which was the option most of the time and as we know once again its better to have fit strikers than unfit good ones). He was a good lad by all accounts, didn't hide and an honest pro. Southampton away was a lovely goal. He was also someone I felt very confident about from the penalty spot, think because he looked so confident himself.
