Striker escapes 'backside' action

Aberdeen striker Lee Miller will not face court after allegedly baring his backside at rival fans, the BBC Scotland news website can reveal.

The player was taunted by visiting supporters after the Dons lost to Miller's former club Dundee United.

The 23-year-old was later charged in connection with the alleged incident at Pittodrie Football Stadium last month.

A spokesman for the procurator fiscal said: "Crown counsel have instructed that no proceedings are to be taken."

A Pittodrie spokesman declined to comment on the news.

A Scottish Football Assocation (SFA) spokesman said the case had been on hold pending a decision by the fiscal, and once they were notified it would be referred to the disciplinary committee.

Not a goal celebration that should be encouraged though...
