  1. Ellis & FFS are similar - they keep the club on a reasonable keel financially but they lack any vision

FFS at least tends to stay out of selecting the team - Ellis was a notorious meddler at all levels

  2. simple matter is that the Glazer bid was going to go through whatever, but their militancy at organising disruption is second to none in UK football.

You could take a few pointers from them.

soooooooo - it was no use at all but it WAS well organised eh..........................

    bloody useful advice that wasn't

  3. I  like the way when you log on the league table comes up with your name at the top - and then you realise that you are, in my case, a (much improved) 33rd.............................  gives me hope for a millisecond....

  4. Just remember the similarities with the makems - the makems finished 7th I believe, like us - and Peter Reid, like Roeder - waited and waited for bargains, didnt sign, and ended up panicking when it went pear shaped and they were at the bottom, and paid three times what the players he bought were worth. And they were wastes of money, and just drained what cash was there, through unearned high wages.

And of course, they went down.

I believe we are better than they were, but we'll still not do as well as some believe without strengthening.

but owld Monkey heid never went 11 consecutive games without a loss...................

  5. "Newcastle end their 35 year-old winless streak at Old Trafford as Torres comes off the bench to score twice in a stunning 2-0 victory.

Torres sold to Barcelona for £10m. “I didn’t feel his heart was at the club. He wasn’t particularly keen to learn the language” says Roeder.

A “Larn yersel Geordie” dictionary is sold on ebay by a user by the name of “El Nino Geordio” for £4.50 plus £2.50 for delivery.

    "

  6. we get a manager who isn't going to start pulling up the roots to see what is happening - that has to be worth something surely.....................

  7. we have a man who knows the club, knows the players and the fans and MOST IMPORTANTLY how Fat Fred works

he has proved he can get results with a load of injuries

we could do a hell of a lot worse - I shudder at most of the names on the list ....  Alardyce FFS.......

  8. "If Souness loses his job before the end of season then it will be nothing short of a disgarace and a victory for mob rule."

it might be a victory for common sense on the other hand

generally there is little evidence that changing the manager makes a big difference but I'm getting seriously concerend about Souness

he's bought some decent players but he just doesn't seem to be able to get them to play for him
