    Bayern sack Magath

     

    Bayern Munich have sacked coach Felix Magath, according to German media reports.

     

    The Bavarian giants slipped to fourth in the Bundesliga last night after a 0-0 draw at home to lowly VfL Bochum, just four days after a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, and German daily Bild reported on its website that Magath has been shown the door by club bosses.

     

    Magath's predecessor, Ottmar Hitzfeld, is favourite to take the reins at the Allianz Arena until the end of the season.

     

    Magath led Bayern to successive league and cup doubles in the past two seasons after moving from Stuttgart, though they currently trail 6 points behind leaders Werder Bremen and Schalke, who both have a game in hand.

    Anyone reckon we could see that Booya or whatever his name was back at the club if we havent signed anyone by the 31st?

     

    I don't think Pierre Boya would be a good investment for Newcastle, considering his starts and scoring sheet at Partizan Belgrade.

     

    He couldn't score in Serbia-Montenegro league for over a year and a half at one point in time. And that says it all. Since then, a couple of goals, but nothing specatcular. It's unreasonable to expect from such a player to shine in Premierleague.

    His finest moments were long, long time ago against Lazio in Europe when he scored twice in Rome, but since then, not worth a mention. He's got pace and dribbling, but lacks scoring touch.

    Goran Gavrancic is a solid defender and can play in several defensive positions. Not much pace, but tall, strong, and good control of the ball, good at heading the ball at both ends. Played for Dynamo Kiev as central defender mostly, but can be used as right back as well. And can contribute in defensive-midfield role if needed.

    I think Martins is a 15 goal a season striker, Crouch a 6-10 goal a season. You need more than that from a partnership.

     

    Yes,partnership like Shearer and Ferdinand.

     

    Shearer and Ferdinand scores 49 goals only in one year(1996/97 season)

    I didn't bother to read much of this thread, and I'll be quick...

     

    This Boya man was goalless FOR A YEAR and he played for the second-best team in Serbia. Imagine a player who starts every game for Glasgow Rangers and can't score a goal FOR A YEAR playing against Inverness, Partick, Kilmarnock etc. cause this is what Boya was doing, making us, the Red Star Belgrade fans smiling all the way...

     

    So, if we signed him, I would be very very concerned about where this club is going....

     

    Oh yes, Boya was out of Partizan team for a long time because their current coach won't play him. He was on trial at a Polish club recently, and they opted not to sign him. Polish club, hello!!! You do the maths!

     

    And the 'giant' player teepee is asking about is Nikola Zigic. Look up his stats in Spanish Primera Division, or ask and Racing Santander fan what he thinks of Zigic.

     

    Boya is Leyton Orient material.

    Boya is very strong player and He is much bigger than Martins.

    Boya is attacking midfielder but Boya is not very quick.

     

    For me , Boya is not player for premier league standard.
