according to icelandic news alan shearer is in the consortium with the 2 icelanders in the bid to buy the club, they reckon a formal bid will be put in in the next few days. Also Pálmi is a Newcastle fan according to the news.

but personally i would not want him here, what i have seen of him lately he has been unfti and not motivated(for tha national team atleast... but on his day he sure can deliver but lately there has not been much of that... or has it ? have not seen much of him with barca last season...

he was at a birthday party, then when he was leaving in the morning some guy went up to him and some words were said i think and then the guy punches him and eidurs friends intervene then a friend of the guy who punched him ran to him and shoved him to the ground .. or something like that

somehow i doubt that since the consortium that bought stoke was purely profit driven.. the people were mostly investor with no or little interest in football. ... not like Egger and his backer Björgúlfur... they are both avid football fan with björgúlfur being one of the people trying to up the level of icelandic football with grants and stuff but then again you never know...
