    ----------------Krul

    Simo-----Tayls------Colo------RTay

    Sant-----Guth-------Cab------Jonas

    -----------Ba----------Best

Aye. I think we'll line up like that, assuming Obertan/Tiote aren't available and Best is.

Would certainly rather see Santon played in his proper position and Raylor in what is (supposedly) his proper position in right midfield.

Raylor is f***ing terrible in right midfield.

He was supposed to be pretty f***ing terrible at left back too.

No point in playing two players out of position.

but hes smiling when when people see him as a left back

  2. maybe its already posted but here's one comment from SSN site:

"Why not rename the players as well while they're at it?? Demba Ba(rclays) ..Cheike Tiote(sco) .. Shola Ameobi(and Q) ..."

  3. From nufc.com

And that number is soon set to be swelled, with Alan Pardew confirming that Shane Ferguson, Haris Vuckic and Mehdi Abeid are all in line for loan spells, preferably in the Championship (although at least one SPL club has been watching Fergie in the reserves this season).

  4. This is what John Carver said today:

“We saw a glimpse this week of how much he’s improved condition-wise,” “That was a major factor when he came in. He’d had issues, and wasn’t up to speed.”

“He’s worked extremely hard, and I mean extremely hard.”  ” It’s been difficult for him, as he’s not been in the team.” “He’s not used that as an excuse. He’s rolled his sleeves up. He went to Bolton, and I thought he was superb.”

“For me, he could do a job on either side. He’s got his mind focused on training, and he’s waiting for his opportunity.” “That’s what’s putting pressure on the two wide guys at the moment.”

  5. Newcastle's summer signing Gabriel Obertan is confident the club can build on their fantastic start to their Premier League campaign.

The high-profile departures of Kevin Nolan, Jose Enrique and Joey Barton over the summer, as well as the failure to buy a big-name striking replacement for Andy Carroll, led many to believe the Magpies would struggle this season.

However, the St James' Park outfit have defied those gloomy pre-season predictions by remaining unbeaten in their opening eight games - their best league start for 17 years - and currently sit in fourth place in the table.

Obertan, who moved to the club from Manchester United, feels the side can continue their positive start to the season.

"The club is progressing nicely and going in the right direction," the 22-year-old told the NewcastleEvening Chronicle.

"It was one of the reasons why I came here because I liked the ideas of the manager and the type of players he wants to bring here.

"I love the challenge here. There are a lot of good players and we have to keep fighting for our place.

"Now we have to continue the great start we've had and build on things."

Obertan is one of a number of French players including Yohan Cabaye, Sylvain Marveaux and Demba Ba, who have formed the backbone of boss Alan Pardew's rebuilding plans at the North East club.

The former Bordeaux man revealed that all the French players are already settled at the club but stressed that every member of the squad have played their part so far and will continue to contribute throughout the season.

"The French players have settled in very well here already," added Obertan.

"But it is not only about us, it is about the whole group, and it is going really well.

"There are a lot of good young players coming through the ranks here and they are all for the future."

  6. Not bad from Samuel, the fat c***, but I'd certainly dispute the assertion that we have 'arguably the weakest squad in the top 7'. Perhaps one of the smallest, yes. Lacking in quality, no. Certainly not in comparison to the likes of Stoke anyways.

only area we are lacking decent backup is defence imo. we have marveaux and ben arfa on the bench! that should show that we have depth

But we have Obertan in the Starting XI ;)

spurs play vdv as a winger

  7. I still think we'll get Maiga or Erdinc. January could be good timing as well, if Best & Ba are stilling banging them in it's someone else to keep them on their toes, if they're not doing it then it's someone to step in.

Regardless of them scoring, we need a 3rd striker to consistently chip in with goals. Ba will be away for anc as well.

Maiga is from Mali , so he will be off to anc aswell then
