I got knocked back on my application and a Macekm just offered me a ticket in the Black Cat bar whatever that is but I don't think I could go in the Sunderland end!

I am not a student but play matches at the Northumbria Uni gym sometimes and last season they were often selling reduced price tickets for various matches to students there.
