  1. I paid twice on one card and kept getting redirected without access. Switched cards and got straight in. Ended up being charged three times. Emailed them straight away and eight days later haven't heard owt. Opened a case with my card provider today to reclaim the two errors.

    You're lucky.

Anyone else just paid? I've paid and they're still not letting me watch it. just getting redirected to pay again. :)

I did that the other day. Got billed twice on one card and still couldn't get access. Just kept redirecting me to the pay screen. Then switched cards and got straight in.

Sent them an email as currently I've paid three times for this. Haven't heard owt yet. Will get my card company to recover the money if I have to.

If its the same as me every attempt you've made will get billed.

Yeah, it's not a guarantee. I just felt this year was a little bit of anomaly with regards to how poorly English clubs did in Europe.

I think we'll make a better showing next year.

It would be nice if we got in the Conference League, won it, and that co-efficient boost gave us the Champions League with 5th ?

Really? I’m sure I read he could. So he can’t even feature in pre season? If that’s the case I can’t see him coming straight back in the side when his ban is up. Probably be 5 or 6 games in before he gets a start

If we're well ahead from the first leg of a Conference League qualifier (assuming we qualify) then there's no reason he couldn't take part in the second leg on the day his ban expires to get some minutes in, and then sub appearances in the league for a few weeks after that I'd imagine. I'd guess you're right though - it'll be 5-6 league games in before he's ready to start.

Because there will be games scheduled on the 27th and 28th, no doubt.

    The 29th is a Thursday.

We could well now be playing on that Thursday in a Conference League qualifier. Does the ban cover the 29th or is he eligible to play on the 29th, I wonder? I'm guessing he's OK?

If he can play, then a Conference League qualifier could be a good match for minutes ahead of the league game that Sunday.

Anyone care to predict our line up for the opening game of next season?

    I’ll go:

Pope, Trippier, Schar, Tosin, Hall, Longstaff, Bruno, Joelinton, Gibbs-White, Isak, Gordon.

Subs: Mamardashvili, Livramento, Kelly, Burn, Anderson, Willock, Miley, Barnes, Murphy.

Tonali injured pre-season or fancied another flutter?

Still is a headline writers dream.

    Sunderland Still Shit

I remember a Ceefax headline back in the early 90's, which said, "Sunderland to get Ball back for Grimsby".

    Always tickled me that.

Beat Brighton and draw v Man Utd and it removes the Mancs from the equation. Chelsea then need to make up 11+ goals on us and whilst simultaneously winning all three games. Them dropping points at Forest and Man Utd losing to Arsenal would be a huge pressure reliever going into the midweek game. Hoping for a red card and niggly injury or two for them.

Wouldn't Chelsea just need two wins and a draw in that scenario? If we beat Brighton and draw at Man U we'd be on 60 points, six ahead of Chelsea. We'd still need to beat Brentford to be absolutely sure.

Man U would still be able to get to 61 too but I don't see them beating both Arsenal and Brighton.

Not as bad as us but:

Mings ACL - captain and LCB starter

    Kamara ACL - DM starter

    Buendia ACL - AM starter

Pau. Carlos. Konsa. The first choice LB. All missed chunks of the season.  + European football in May.

Spurs haven’t had the serious injuries but Maddison, Richarlison, Van De Ven, Bentancur - that spine of the side have all had injuries.

We’ve obviously had the worst injuries in the league.  But neither Villa or Spurs have been particularly lucky with injuries.

Arsenal have though. Partey, Jesus and Timber aside - they’ve had good luck with injuries. Jesus isn’t even in their strongest team.

Was going to post something similar so thanks for that ?

One saving grace for Villa (despite three ACL's) is that Watkins has played virtually every minute. Isak has missed about eight games for us and we've had to play Bournemouth twice without a recognised striker.

Cant remember us having so many pens before, and Gordon is a big reason for that.

We used to get loads when Beardsley played for us. Not since then though.

I'm colour blind and had to have a lie down after about ten seconds. And a large G and T to recover from the sensation and rage at the non-daltonian broadcasting cunts

None of their kits are perfect but either the red and white home or blue and white away would have been far better. It feels like they just kept going through their kits till they found the one that would clash the most.

Raging I can't see this. An Emery side shipping four goals at home in the latter stages of a Europa, wew.

Great for the neutral. Been switching between it and Chelsea v Spurs but kind of glad that one's over so I can focus on this one. More goals in it still I think.

  13. Wondering if another tier or at least half tier of height could be added to the East Stand with a new glass roof - the additional bit could be primarily glass and used for corporate (boxes) and/or media freeing up that space elsewhere for additional seating, alongside the additional capacity we'd get from the new Gallowgate/Milburn corner and the extra tier on the Gallowgate. Might be able to get close to 65,000?

  14. Nowt against any of those really. Leeds the one I dislike the most but feel they'll add most to the Premier League and is as close as we'll get to a derby/short trip.

Always had a bit of a soft spot for both WBA and to a lesser extent Norwich. Nowt against Southampton but a long trip. Hull also a short trip, but feel they'll be whipping boys and unlikely to make it anyway.

In summary, WBA, Norwich, Leeds in that order for me.
