  1. Not sure if it makes it much easier but I think Chelsea are at home to both Everton and Liverpool, before they come to us.
  2. Yeah, they need all three today.
  3. The way we pulled them apart down his side at Portman Road I'm not entirely sure that's a good thing 🤔
  4. Arsenal winning. They'll hammer Ipswich today the way they've started.
  5. Lars Sivertsen on Talksport just now speaking very well about NUFC. Labouring the point that we sold players we didn't want to sell, and we were being ignored when the window shut due to a lack of business, but sometimes keeping a tight squad together and good coaching pays dividends. Seems to really understand the game.
  6. Stunning save by Trafford at Watford.
  7. I inherited the one with orange sleeves from my older brother, and then kept going collecting the rest on my own. That orange sleeve one is iconic - reminds me of Ricky Hill, Brian and Mark Stein, Frank Bunn, Mick Harford, Steve Foster, David Preece (RIP) et al. Great team they had.
  8. Got a soft spot for Luton (had a load of their kits when I was a kid - some of my collection below - and one of my best mates is a Hatter) so am cheering them on. Hint of offside on that goal I thought though?

No way we should think of selling, and after losing Anderson I don't think Howe will entertain it. It would have to be a last PSR resort and I don't think we're in that hole any more? A loan, maybe with a recall option maybe.
  10. And yet my 82 year old mother would switch Lucy off as "women shouldn't be commentating on men's football as they have annoying, squeaky voices". Mind you, her mum's definition of a good husband was one who "takes you out once a week and doesn't beat you" - so each generation moves on a little I guess.
  11. It was bizarre. I looked it up before I posted it and it was the 2-1 defeat on 17 April 1995, exactly thirty years ago (yesterday). Seems like yesterday! I was only 20. 😭 I miss those days of short, pithy spontaneous terrace humour - seems like these days chants/songs are more robotic and every team just sings variants of the same. The two responses to the original post suggested shoe-horning current players names in, which kind of defeats the point and makes it something different.

    Harvey Barnes

Equally that's a generous assist against Brentford. Left Tonali with a bit of work to do 😂
  13. Kristensen should have equalised for Frankfurt there.
  14. Could always stick and then switch over for ET if Man U stays the same? That's my current plan. 🙂
  15. Watching Spurs and don't know whether to stick, or twist and switch to Man U.
  16. Spurs mate convinced they'll get to the final and lose to Man Utd.
  17. Has to be a pen that. Reckless and didn't get there first. If Pope's was then that surely is.
  18. Crook and Cundy on Talksport both fancy us for the win. Alex Crook actually said he thinks we're the best team in the country at the moment and he fancies us to chase down Arsenal for second. I'm feeling more positive after last night, both in terms of us putting in a performance, and also even if we do lose, I see it being more of a blip against a good side and think we'll recover.
  19. As a big fan of social commentary in terrace songs (I still remember singing "We're gonna piss in your water..." to Leeds during the Yorkshire water shortage thirty years ago today, when Northumbrian Water were sending tankers down the A1 to help out), I really hope we sing, "When's your recycling day, when's your recycling day...?" in Brum on Saturday. Would be a shame to miss such an opportunity.
  20. He's at Fulham v Chelsea on Sunday. We've got: Referee: Jarred Gillett. Assistants: Lee Betts, Sian Massey-Ellis. Fourth official: Farai Hallam. VAR: Michael Salisbury. Assistant VAR: Derek Eaton.
  21. Draw at Villa and win the home games and Villa have to also win all their remaining games to overtake us, due to the goal difference.
  22. Beaten them three times this season so far with a combined score of 5-0. Could do it…need to get something on Saturday first.

    Harvey Barnes

Shows what confidence and a run in the team can do. Looks ahead of Gordon now who's a bit rusty. Undroppable at the minute but a lovely problem to have. One thing I would do - if Gordon comes on for Murphy again I wouldn't switch Barnes over.
  24. Five in a row. 1-0 2-1 3-0 4-1 5-0 6-1 on Saturday?
