how did we not score?

That's rather sad.

I reckon we'll lose 2-0 myself.
lose 2-0
ya joking
you must have a lot of faith in the new signings/manager
No I think we have and good squad and good manager. Bolton away is always a very difficult game and with Anelka it is very easy to get caught out. I think we will outplay them but get hit on the break for their first goal, then we'll press too much in search of an equaliser and get caught out again. I very suprised that almost everyone is predicting a victory or and draw. Just because Sam isn't at Bolton anymore, doesn't mean it isn't a very difficult game.

I wonder if Allardyce will start Cacapa even though he said he was short of fitness. I hope not.

Celtic looked really poor against the MLS allstars and Chicago Fire so I think we'll win.

Owls offer striker Kluivert trial
Sheffield Wednesday have offered a trial to Dutch international striker Patrick Kluivert.
The 31-year-old plays for PSV Eindhoven but is understood to be looking for a move elsewhere.
Owls boss Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I have a strong contact in Holland who is Kluivert's agent.
"We've invited the boy down and I want to run the rule over him. It is just a possibility and is nothing concrete at the moment but we've made an enquiry."
Kluivert has experience of playing in England after a spell with Newcastle.
He started only 14 Premiership games for the Magpies, scoring six times.
Newcastle rejected the opportunity to take up the option for a second year on his contract leaving him free to join Valencia in the summer of 2005.
He subsequently left the Italian side to link up with PSV the following year.
Kluivert has played for some of Europe's biggest clubs including AC Milan, Ajax and Barcelona.

Carroll and Barton close

Because when Uruguay's final penalty was taken, the Brazil goalie was at least 4 feet off his line.

Good deal! A shame we didn't get him for free but still a great deal. I'm starting to like the look of this Newcastle squad.

If it's reliable (I don't think it is), then it probably means that one of Owen or Martins will leave.
More like the end of Shola tbh.
I sincerely hope so. But Viduka, Martins, Owen, and Smith seems a little too good.
Or maybe Allardyce wants to play him in midfield...I hope not.

That came out of nowhere.

Those supposed Shepherd quotes are interesting.

Anyone know anything about this youngster that just broke into the academy squad. He's scored 3 in his last 4 games and match reports say he is developing a good partnership with Donaldson (our top scorer in the academy this season) who is also 15. The academy beat Crewe 2-0 today so he might have netted again.

Goma is playing for Sevilla

going into the 100th minute

Perhaps the longest injury time in an English cup final.

It'd be nice to see Smith not get a yellow card today.
