Anah, first time I've read a Squires strip and completely disagreed with it. Massively disagree that they've played the best football as well, (if he means best to watch) I've much preferred watching Spurs all season, as well as Liverpool and Man City at their best. Chelsea's​ deserved the title though, no question about that, but I don't think it's been all that great to watch. Plus, f*** Chelsea, they've always been a proper rancid club like.

I don't think that article has been written with any insider knowledge. Any of us could have written it just based on the bits and pieces of speculation that are already out there in the media.

 

We could guess but I he has sources in the club. He has reported with insight in past and so is likely to be on this occasion too. I don't like him or some of the content of the article - but it is likely at least partially accurate.

For better or worse the national hacks clearly take media briefings from the club and they're unerringly accurate

Edwards, though he usually revels in the pessimistic line, usually has decent sources. If he says it'll be 70m he'll not be far wrong. I think that plus sales is pretty reasonable

I think this extends beyond message boards. People are calling him out in the Twitter feed that the club use - where they've congratulated him on his inclusion. Others berate at the match. He's a young centre half who has had an up and down season. I'd rather get behind him than slag him off and undermine his confidence. Then again I'm quite a positive person.....
