Question about VAR…if they review it/‘see it’, does that mean no retrospective action can be taken after the game? The James Maddison punch today made me wonder whether he could be banned or not for our game, or more generally whether retrospective action is even possible these days

I can’t really make my mind up about it, but is his pressing a lot worse than Wilson? Seems to get caught not going for anyone, keeper or defender, and jogs around. But then again I’m not sure what he is being told to do/the plan. Thought his dribbling looked good but so isolated in possession.

I was very tempted, but then found out that you can’t order it without booking a minimum of 4 seats. 

Great draw. Wanted to be in the big boy competition and got the big boy teams. Now someone start the CL ticket and logistics thread so we can all angst on about not actually being able to see any of this in person. 

Sorry if mentioned, but does anyone know if the actual fixtures get announced on Thursday or is it just the groups? Was just wondering if people would then be scrambling for travel arrangements etc

Yeah I found that, just not remotely clear to me if package means 3 games or package means one game and here is 5 minutes with John beresford. As usual clear as mud!

Where did it say it was for all 3 games? I might just be being stupid but couldn’t see it on the website, wasn’t sure if club had confirmed separately?

Exactly. Well done on the stupid pricing issue but the system is still awful and worse than last season. The trust etc need to recognise that and say way more is needed and ensure they don’t just sit around collectively patting their backs. 

Surely the competition to sign this lad would be insane? Especially at 50m. Bit of a leak to drive price and bidders up? Hope its true as would be an incredible signing.

Huge result to not only come from behind, but to change a game in which we were getting well beaten. Now makes spurs at home pretty much the biggest game of the (league) season

Weird game, felt for large parts west ham would get into it and that we gave the ball away too much, but they might as well have been match fixing with their errors at the back

Absolutely disgraceful refereeing. How one of their players has not been booked is beyond me. Major injury to someone inevitable.

The 9 is from the previous investigation i think. He alleged that those 9 teams wrote letters supporting punishment (or along those lines) at the time. 

Judging from their facebook, the people who do the central park fanzone for the world cups etc are doing one for the final. Also seen wylam brewery selling tickets already for showing it in their main hall. I would love to see something done at SJP personally. 

Watching on tv it was quite jarring going from the flags, scarves and the blaring music to kick off all sat down and so much quieter. Have said before think the PA system should stop or ease off a couple of minutes pre kick off for a big chant to build instead. 

Obvious goal aside, thought he made more of the attacking side of being a full back tonight. Pushing forward, overlaps, dribbling out with the ball more than i have seen him do previously in the role. 

As our quality has increased, his lack of it just stands out more. Passing, first touch, finishing miles off what we need. He would be a good championship player. 

Honestly just sell him. Genuinely one of the worst to ever play up front for us.
