For what it's worth, Caulkin says the left back situation is confusing... As of last night we were hopeful of having Pieters in by Sunday, but NUFC representatives have been talking to Cissokho's people today.
Knowing this lot they've probably shook hands on a deal with Pieters but gone back to Lyon with one last try to get Cissokho before sealing it.

On the radio earlier they said he is a nightmare. Often refuses to travel with the first team to matches and makes his own way there and turns up to training when he feels like it - can be 2 hours late sometimes. There would be just too many problems with him at NUFC. Can definitely see there being friction between him and Barton.
Warnock says the other players are not allowed to give him the ball in his own half because he is to too much of a liability in that area of the pitch.
