Finally, I quite like Yasir. He doesn't come across as a remote or arrogant figure. I think he's enjoying the ride and has made decent relationships with those running things. The early indications have been good, as far as I can see.

Yasir has wowed by the support and has been in from Day 1. Big question remains if PIF will continue to be interested in project if Yasir is replaced for whatever reasons. Successor may have own pet project

The beautiful game - who can sell their homegrown players for the most amount of money

More like clubs outside the "Top 6" developing players to be sold to "Top 6"

When I last went to a Canada in 2016, there is a football shop near my aunt’s & uncles.

It had shirts from all over Europe in, not even just the usual clubs, but some smaller ones as well.

They even had the latest Villa kits in and some Scottish clubs, come to us and I’m sure I only found 1 shirt and it was from a few years previously.

The Toon shirts were in high demand and all sold out :aww:

  4. Eddie's biggest enemy is Eddie himself. With his own high standards, coupled with expectations from everyone associated with the new Newcastle United, his innate intensity may also cause him to burn out lot faster than his time at Bournemouth.

I think he messed up his own situation by insisting on a move, he could have still got his agent to look discreetly for clubs, but have one eye on January so an amazing world cup could get him the dream move he actually wanted. Instead of 'settling' for West Ham which, even though they've had a good window, they've been operating at their ceiling for 2 seasons now, not sure they'll get to the next level. Whereas we're currently a bit further back, but the ceiling is a lot higher and it's a more exciting project to be part of. He left Lyon because they finished 8th. West Ham with the start they've had aren't guaranteed as high as that. So it is definitely a strange move.

Howe and owners probably not impressed by Paqueta pushing for a move. If he can do it once, he can certainty do it again if he doesn't get his way.

It’s unprofessional for them to speak on players who we didn’t sign for a start. Also, anything they say will likely come back to haunt them. Saying Botman wants to come and still does is I’ll advised and not something which should come from our owners.

I’m all for transparency and I fully support them but they might need to give more political answers in future to avoid binding themselves.

Botman has been quoted as saying he is excited to be part of project so nothing new there. The only other name they mentioned openly was Lingard and that again was open info.

  7. Even if Bruno clears medical today, isn't Brazil due to play another game on Tue? By the time he gets to Newcastle, it may be Thu. Hope he settles down quickly and play against Everton
