Finally actually managed to get through to them and it would appear only two of the four Newcastle pre-season games will be shown on Setanta Freeview - The Celtic and Juve games - NOT the Hull and Sampdoria games. Bit crap really. >

According to the official site, both Luque and Geremi will not play due to not being at the Austria training camp and not quite being up to speed. But we all know how great the official site is(!)

Just realised that although Setanta is claiming it's showing 4 Newcastle pre-season games, two of these are on Setanta2 which I believe isn't available on the Freeview format. I think Freeview Setanta is just basically Setanta1, but if someone with the channel can confirm this I'd appreciate it because I've been looking into getting it myself.

As bizarre as that sounds I actually totally agree! Even when he's on the bench I'm just urging him to get a shot, more than 30 seconds at the end to come on and just leave everyone with open wide mouths as he scores the quickest hat-trick in Premiership history! Never gonna happen, but it's always that thing with him, whatever happens to him, he'll always be a talking point until the day he finally leaves, some will be full of joy, others wondering why he was never given a chance when fully fit. Saying that though, he did win me £90 as first goalscorer in the Palmero game. The bookies even had to ring up and find out the odds as he wasn't even listed as a first goalscorer!
