bloody hell that brings a memory or two back. i don't suppose the mad miserable french woman is still the landlady ?Anyone know of any pubs in york that will be likely to show the match tomorrow?
the terrace and the windmill both usually have the newastle game on.
I watch footy in there quite a bit but I've never come across a mad miserable French Lady
Might keep an eye out for her next time i'm in

ffs man. makes me really angry. the most talented player we've had in years and he can't get in the team ahead of obertan, shola and ryan taylor. its allardycesque.

the 7th most expensive footballer of all times

Btw, this day in 1997, Dalglish was confirmed as our manager. Destroyed one of our greatest ever teams.
The only positive thing i can think of regarding Dalglish is that he bought Given....
Thats it.
And Solano and Speed. but yeah that is it.

whose fault was it today? Another away keeper who had the match of his life?

they're both massive c***s tbh

He is the biggest c*** in English football. Made worse by the fact that the media fawn over every word he says.
Makes me f***ing sick.

I would be amazed if Ashley had agreed to that deal. Just doesnt make sense.

Wigan, Bolton, QPR would be nice

This isn't going to go down well but having followed Ba's antics at Hoffenheim I do fear that his main motivation is money. Don't get me wrong, he comes across as an extremely likeable guy and I genuinely believe him when he says he is having fun here.
But we need to be realistic about this. As soon as a club comes in who will offer him more money than us he will be off. (And let’s be honest, under the current owner there are many clubs in Europe who will be able to offer him more money than we will).
I don’t think he will leave in January but I would be surprised if he is still here next season. I hope I’m wrong like but this is my realistic take on this.
And this goes without saying but I would far rather he joined PSG than any Prem club, especially Spurs or the racists.

Cant belive I sat through that entire program to see just 39 seconds of coverage on our match.
Quite glad I just got home and saw it online instead. Must have been a turgid watch.
it was even worse than the football league show
-
Don't know what was worse, that shocking ITV highlights show or Louise Taylor's absolutely horrendous match report in the Guardian. Both pretty shameful.
Just read it. Horrible, bitter bitch.

What's this talk of Villa fans "attacking" Sunderland fans after the 2nd goal? Or was that my Mackem friend completely exaggerating events?
when villa scored their second it looked as if some of their fans ran over to the mackems. not sure how bad it was though.

poor old kenny, refs giving liverpool a hard time again

Good news, even though Løvenkrands will be banging on the door. One less player on the bench I guess. He had a very good cameo against Tottenham, but in his usual Shola-manner, he was lazy as f*** again vs Wigan (yes he was, watch the game again). Sammy will take the ring to Mordor.
i'm sure pardew said that he picked up the injury within 3 minutes of coming on. would explain the fact that he was invisible for most of the match.
Best places (pubs/bars) to watch Toon games back in the Toon?
