Well speaking from experience also, I moved to New York with no desire ever to go home and then suddenly, in my 5th year there I was crippled with home sickness and had to get out.

    Great.

Not my experience though, hence why I said it was strange.

    Nothing strange about it

    Ok.

I’ve travelled and lived all over and got home sick myself at times. After the initial excitement of being somewhere new wears off then I’ve felt it- never after a prolonged period though. Guess everyone is different. But yes, it seemed strange to me.

No reason why the desire to go back home could develop at any time. Could be any number of reasons why he suddenly wants to move closer to home. Its just speculation I've heard from Arsenal fans though, may not be the case at all.

I guess. Just seems strange to sudden occur after such time.

There was talk of Tierney being home sick so I could honestly see him going back to Celtic. If that is the case we'd have been perfect for him to stay in the PL and get closer to home.

Home sick after four years away?

Still testing him on the Fairs Cup team to check if he’s actually a fan.

They'll be dragging it out if we're not bringing anyone else in. Make it feel like we're still active in the market.

Last hour of the window? Like trying for Hamza Choudhury to keep the excitement going?

Will be interesting now that he's worth nothing though.

He’s still a multi millionaire and will no doubt go on to earn more millions elsewhere.

So why did the gf or ex-gf refuse to testify? Are they back together or was this behavior part of the relationship, terrible though that may seem?

Back together (allegedly never really apart) and now with child.

Worst case they can just continue to sell their academy talents for good money -  can’t go wrong

Cant think of someone that’s left them and achieved big things - possibly the Dortmund version of Sancho - maybe in time Lavia?

it’s a cash cow for them

    Kieran Trippier?

Juve want Lukaku but need to sell first. Go on Ashworth, be creative with Chiesa.

See his goal yesterday? He’s a starter. There’s no way he’s going anywhere on loan unless we have an obligation to buy at a large price and eat more into next years budget again.

What confuses me about this case is how it differs to what I remember from the Caroline Flack case. I know they're wildly different, but I remember that after she had been accused of hitting him with a lamp or whatever, didnt her boyfirned at the time not want to press charges? But due to the risk of power and manipulation over the other party, the police couldn't accept his request and were going to prosecute her anyway? I'm guessing there was solid evidence she hit him and maybe there's not the level of evidence for his controlling behaviour and the marks she had on her?

She confessed to it in interview and under caution from what I recall? Greenwood has consistently denied it.

  12. Castore have just fucked up yet another personalised shirt order for my son. It’s the third one to arrive without the personalisation that I’ve paid for each time. Sooner they fuck off the better- Disgrace of a company.

I genuinely don't understand how law works so not even going to try and figure it out. The CPS dropped charges because they said there wasn't a realistic chance of a conviction. I have no clue how that's a possibility with the pictures and audio unless there's an explanation for them.

Because you need the ‘key witness’ (ie herself) to be able to appear in court if required to answer questions about the matter. Without her there a major element of doubt appears. As the loss of the ‘key witness’ is cited as a major reason why the case couldn’t proceed, it stands that without her to be able to give evidence, the prospect of conviction is diminished dramatically, even to the point of negligibility. He would not be tried, let alone convicted, on audio and pictures alone without her being able to provide evidence also (the audio and pictures ARE her evidence, in fact). That’s the only reason why this hasn’t gone to court- because she has withdrawn her original statement about wishing to make a complaint.

I really hope you guys thrash the bin dippers this Sunday, however the denial in some posters on here, City had Stones, Dias, B Silva, KDB all out, we also played in sweltering Greece in a midweek cup final and we still controlled this game and you didn’t lay a glove on us.

Can I say you’re game this Sunday is a big game for Eddie Howe without people getting on my back, for me he can’t afford another defeat against Liverpool like last season, when they schooled you at SJP.

So….let’s discuss your bent and financially corrupt club…

They have 40, 50-100m players in pretty much every position and it wouldn't surprise me if their wage budget is 3-4 times bigger than ours.

We're miles behind them money and squad wise.

Our annual wage is around £94m per year/£1.8m per week. (Income £180m for last accounts) Man City is around £176m per year/£3.4m per week. (Income £613m)

for comparison, Man Utd is £190m per year/£3.7m per week (income £558m) and Chelsea £142m per year/£2.7m per week (income £481m)

"Fair market value" won't apply will it? It's not a related party transaction.

Doesn’t matter does it, when the value is above £1m? Thought that was the value for any transaction?

    ahhh…just reading up…

“Additionally, clubs will now be required to submit details of commercial deals worth more than £1m to the Premier League, which will then consider whether it is an ‘associated party’ transaction. If so, the transaction will be subject to the FMV process.”

so it still goes to the PL but they then can’t do anything at all if it’s not a related party?

What a horrible deal for Tottenham. Only £30m and through 2033? They finished top 4 in three years since signing that deal. Castore getting a bargain from us for £5m. I'm not sure why we didn't just buy them out.

Presumably you can only do that if there’s a break clause in the contract and if both parties agree? Knowing Ashley, he’d never pay any money to do something like that so probably didn’t have anything included.

  18. 5 minutes ago, Bimpy474 said:

If market value is fair, i know we won't be, but what if we matched Man Utd's deal. Can they and the other scummy 6 stop it somehow ? I 'm sure they'll try like.

PL can say they won’t sign it off, like Chelsea’s deal. That was related to the TV deal but I’m sure it would come under their ‘above £1m’ scrutiny for being fair and proper.

  19. 1 minute ago, AyeDubbleYoo said:

Maybe we just drive a hard bargain. It wouldn’t mean it wasn’t fair. Fair can’t mean ‘lower than any other comparable club’, surely.

But people are saying we should/could be getting £60m, which isn’t far off Man City’s £65m deal. Don’t tell me the two clubs are currently equally ‘comparable’ on and off the pitch. I think some people are going to be disappointed in the deal. £40m I can see, or around that- 50 top end.

Depends how and who’s making the argument for us, top 4 last year and both Liverpool and Chelsea weren’t.

I guess. Which is why I asked the ‘elite’ question earlier. Would it go on past/recent success, or potentially perceived future growth. Even given my bias, I can see why Chelsea and Liverpool would possibly be offered more than us.
