  1. They were hemorrhaging money at a ridiculous rate when they were on the gravy train of the richest league on the planet and Short has had to bail them out with over £100m of his own money just to keep them going.

The have a stadium which is now 20 years old and was built very cheaply (£15m iirc) and is now needing quite a bit of money spent on it and a playing squad worth very little, but costing them a fortune in salaries.

To compound that, they have a supporter base that refuses to pay for tickets and as a result they generally make a loss on home cup fixtures as very few people turn up to these games as they have to charge a nominal amount for entry due to the receipts being shared.

Anyone paying more than the £1 Bob Murray sold it to Drumaville for really needs their head examining.

I pay for my tickets. I'm not saying there aren't a load of free tickets slung about, but 'refuse to pay' ?

    Complete bullshit

  2. Long balls galore.

    Harry Kane... big number nine

In England that means treat him like he's Nat Lofthouse

Shocked Crouch doesn't get a game still

  3. Sick of hearing that Moyes was dealt a s*** hand. Like somebody made him spend £12m on Didier N'Dong.

They've had a lot of injuries, granted, but is it really unlucky if Victor Anichebe is injured for 3 months? He's a player with a long history of getting injuries which Moyes took a gamble on and would you believe it, he got injuries. If they had no money anyway I don't know what Allardyce would have done with them, but he probably would have brought in a better centre half than Djilbodji or loaned somebody better than Jason Denayer after Kaboul had to go.

Was thinking more along the lines of he didn't have a full pre-season. Already said he didn't help himself. But ha'way O'Neill was allowed to spend god knows what a few year ago on Fletcher, Graham etc

  4. Where a have our resident Mackems gone?

    I'm here mate.

Been a long time coming this and I'm under no illusions, it'll be a hard league to get out of next season.

Without investment? I hope the young lads step up. Our U23 side is in a final. They must have something.

With/Without Moyes? I must be one of few who think sticking with him is the best option. He was dealt a s*** hand both at the start and throughout this season. Hasn't helped himself I admit but I think he could build something.

I feel pretty apathetic towards this, pretty 'meh'.

My shift change has recently allowed myself to get a season ticket again next season for the first time in four years. I'm looking forward to going to every game again and a weekend away in Leeds with some of the lads off my Sunday league team.

Still my team, I'm disappointed, it's not the end of the world

If you've just recently got a season ticket I'd be amazed if you'd have enough loyalty points for Leeds away. Even if you do it's £40 a ticket at Elland Road these days. Away games are cheaper in the Premier League now.

Just a day out mate, if I don't get a ticket, so be it

  6. We've had a bit of gloom recently but the way things are working out, we could be promoted on the same weekend that the tramps get officially binned. Maybe even the same time on the Saturday if we have to rely on the Huddersfield game.  The weekend of our Cardiff away game.

Roles were reversed that'd be a great neet out.

Hope it happens lads, you've all been really nice to me

  7. Kirchoff is out of contract? That's hilarious considering how they were waxing lyrical about him at the start of the season

Played really well towards the end of last season

No point keeping him to be fit 10 games a season to be fair

  8. This feels like this is it. I've only ever felt less optimistic about our chances once. Poyet was in charge and Connor Wickham somehow turned up for 10 games.

    We're out and we're fucked

  9. Could quite possibly be Leicester, Palace, Boro though. Mackems have experience at this and Defoe. I see them surviving. Again. Utter turds that hey are

IF -and it's a big if- we go up I'd be quite happy with this scenario. Would like to have a crack at them next season, particularly if -and this is a bigger if- Rafa is backed in the summer and Defoe is given his wish of a transfer to London. Would feel a bit like a missed opportunity we go up and they come down. Firstly without Defoe they'd likely fill a a relegation place and also f*** knows we have some derby day scores to settle.

Obviously if they did go down I wouldn't be shedding any tears mind.

Defoe wants a transfer to London?

  10. I'm just kind of floating through this season, like it's already February and I haven't realised.

My overwhelming feeling is we're down but the reality hasn't yet sunk in. Probably due to past seasons when we were worse off but I thought we'd come out of it.

Season ticket back next year in the Champo if it happens. More games to go to, more midweeks to accommodate my shifts.

I'm pretty neutral to all this at present though

  11. Off to the Palace forum to dig up my own posts and say 'I told you so'

Solidarity brothers, I hate this c*** too

 I'll take a deluded Mackem over al pards any day

  12. THREE scorers in the Premier League this season - unbelievable!

Aye, we'll be top six once our midfield start chipping in with a few goals

Can't remember the last time a midfielder got goals for us. Hutchison?
