https://true-faith.co.uk/garang-kuol-dont-lose-heart/ Very fair article here. Could be a bit of a turning point in Kuol's season. We (Hearts) have become dugmeat and Kuol is scoring for his country. Can see him getting much more gametime as the fans are demanding it.

If I was you boys, I'd be signing up Hatate. What a player.
-
Celtic just curl in a top corner from edge of the box. Game over.
-
I think Kuol has earnt a little more trust of the manager by keeping in our 4-5-1 shape tonight. Almost got on the end of a couple of counters. All Celtic the now unfortunately.
-
You are both right. Oda got injured but he's also brutal. Kuol looking more threatening the last 5 mins. Celtic have had so much of the ball this second half but he's getting a good run out. Just had a shot blocked.
-
Kuol has been subbed on against Celtic. 60th minute. 30 mins at Parkhead in front of 60k for your boy here.
-
Full time. Anonymous performance compounding a poor team performance.
-
KUOL ON. 58th minute.
-
Kick off in 15 mins on Sky Sports. Surely Kuol will get another 20-30 mins.

https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hearts/hearts-explain-their-approach-with-garang-kuol-and-yutaro-oda-4026932 Some comments on Kuol from our manager this week: “We just played a Scottish Cup tie on a Friday night on astroturf, it was bucketing down with rain, a 200-miles-an-hour game. You can actually end up hindering young players like that by putting them into those situations” “He is in a different continent in a different culture playing a different style of football,” explained Neilson. “We have an interpreter getting the language across to him so that he understands what we are trying to do (for Oda) It's going to take time. He just needs to take his 20 minutes here and 30 minutes there. He is a young kid so there are certain games he will start and others when he will come on. It's about development for both of them.” I think our Sunday game is on the box. 12pm kick-off. Motherwell after being shite for weeks have a new manager and got a result at the weekend. Our usual front 3 of Mckay/Shankland/Ginnelly won't be happening as Ginnelly is suspended. That means its between Humphrys and Kuol for a starting slot. Humphrys will probably get the nod as he's on a hot streak but that should mean Kuol will get more minutes when one of the front three needs replaced. Interview with Humphrys (Kuol's competitor for a start) for anyone that is interested (probably not many but hey ho!) He's on loan from Wigan, but trust me, nearly every championship/league one player we have loaned has not cut it up here and went home with their tail between their legs so its been a nice change to have someone who's turning it on. Kuol has also made a positive impact so our loan business seems to be getting better.

Prior to joining Newcastle/Hearts he had played 21 professional matches....in his life. And nearly all of them were as a sub. He's played over 120 minutes in the last few weeks. That's probably like 20% of his whole career. (I know these maths don't check out)

Btw, there was a chance that Kuol could have came in and started regularly for us. He definitely has the ability to be a high performer in the SPFL even as a teenager, but we've only lost one game in our last 13, so it's not so easy. That's the challenge however. If he moved to a team further down the table then he'd be getting more minutes. But I really don't think that's what he needs. Training with boys like Craig Gordon, Robert Snodgrass, Stephen Kingsley etc... every day. That's what he needs. It's a good challenging level for him.

From that famous Australian town, Whitley Bay.

120 minutes of top flight football in 20 days, you say? (I notice you are not including injury time...tut tut.) How much would he got for Newcastle United? Or even in the A-league... Are you sure this is evidence for your argument? Anyway, it's a pity he didn't start the night - he was certainly close to starting after an impressive substitute experience a few days ago.

You're right - I didn't realise he was on the bench for the Hearts Hibs derby. Straight into the matchday squad for Edinburgh derby after arriving was prob a good experience for him too.
