Which is why we can report that Liverpool are considering a swap deal that would see Andy Carroll heading back to Newcastle in exchange for Cheick Tioté. Kenny Dalglish wants Tioté to fill in for the injured Lucas Leiva and is prepared to send his pony-tailed wardrobe back to St James' Park in exchange.

I wouldn't mind Bassong back tbh. Showed during his time here that he is more than capable of playing well at CB. Decent backup for LB too.

Whether or not he wants to come back however is another matter.

I'd take him back, I'd take almost anyone decent enough with Prem experience at this point.

Not sure that the players who were around when we were relegated would welcome Bassong back.  Don't think he did himself any favours at the time.

We got rid of all that old/disruptive/overpaid/greedy/shit lot tbh.

Nedum Onuoha would represent the best value for money defender in January for me.

He did't look much when he played for the Makems.

Mmm... Been thinking the same also... Guess its just one game to be fair...

He did well. Had some good games, had some poor ones.

They probably say the same about Bramble.

If Nedum is dirt cheap then aye, otherwise surely there's better?
