After how many games do you consider position an indicator of final position?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, we need to get to the 20-25 points mark as fast as possible. A win on Wednesday would put us on 20 points. From then we in my mind would need another 18 points for safety, which is 5 wins and 3 draws, pretty realistic.

Here's how I have it looking next Saturday night. (based on a 2-0 win over Blackburn and 2-1 v Fulham).  :smug:

You've got to factor in Sunderland's 20 point reduction though.

7th place for me. No way we'll win both games.

Great charts mate!

It looks like no-one who has been fifth after 11 games has gone down. Though Hull were up near there and would have gone down basically if we had scored one more goal. That Citeh line for 2005-6 also goes down from near the top to sixth bottom, but you'd have to look up the points to see if there was any danger.

Good to see us in the top six charts too!

I usually don't even take the table into account until around Christmas, or after the 'winter break' in the rest of Europe. Reason being thats the time you really get an idea of how consistent a team is, at roughly just over the halfway mark.
