How come sponsors haven't made their way on to international shirts yet?

Ireland have rocked one for ages.

I guess most countries see the national shirt as something worth not tarnishing with a company name. Plus the numbers on the front thing.

Just the one isn't it?

That's what i thought, but wanted to know if there's any likelihood of it being 3 due to violent conduct  :undecided:

 Yeah, you're probably right.  Still fairly surprising though and had forgotten about Ireland.

When it gets to the World Cup and that I doubt FIFA would stand for it either, since it's all about them making money and nowt else.

Do some players change their kits at half time? Notice some players coming off and their tops are absolutely soaked in sweat.

How many people actually buy keeper tops? Only people who play keeper and would want a keeper top to play in or collect? Its got to be low right?

Has anyone got Metro's version of "You Get What You Give"? from the '99 cup final?  It has to be knocking around somewhere.

Tim Vickery reckons he's a box to box midfielder who in time will be able to chip in with 10-15 goals a season.

Basically only know people who have them to wear while playing.

10-15 goals isn't enough for a midfielder?

In time he said, haven't got time in my fantasy to wait around for him to bang 10-15 goals in a year or two years time when he's developed  well at least that's what i assumed he meant.

Is a Transfer Request anything more than a formality? For example in the Suarez situation, everyone at Liverpool knows that he wants to go. He has said so multiple times, so isn't the idea that he might put in a 'Transfer Request' as a last resort kind of redundant? Or does it do more than just formally requesting a transfer?

The player loses out on any loyalty bonuses and transfer fee, so the selling club get to keep the lot. It's widely accepted 10% is the norm, so in Suarez's case he'd lose £4m off Liverpool to push through his transfer to Arsenal, Suarez will probably look for a bigger fee again off Arsenal to compensate. Like Carroll did with Liverpool.

more annoyingly though, they can agitate for a move like suarez is, like given did, but unless they actually put a request in they get the cash. disgusting, disgraceful and completely taking the piss.
