Re touch - N'Zogbia's has completely deserted him at the minute. The ball is just bouncing off him. Can that really be down to form, or are we witnessing another promising youngster go backwards due to sub-standard coaching at NUFC?

 

N'Zogbia's touch was so poor that he was giving himself hospital passes. Obviously very uncharacteristic.

paid money for a 33 year old midfielder (to play him up front) who thus far has one league goal and a handeful of shaky appearences. not convinced thus far.

 

Wouldn't be in the next round of the UEFA Cup without him.

The lad is averaging a goal every other appearance and still they whine.

How many has Martins got per appearance ?

At least he's not a sick note waver like certain other characters who the same people defend who have a gto at Sibs.

Not a great player, no.

But a 100% who will give his all.

And he's contributed more than most in this team.

 

Agreed, when you look back at the closing transfer window and the fact that he was bought in for next to nowt at the last minute, it's great to see him prove people wrong.  £ for £ he's easily proved to be the best signing out of the few we made at the time.  That said, I'm nt slating Martin's (at the minute anyway!).  I think he'll start finding the net soon if the rest of the team would stop trying to play balls to him over his head.  He needs the ball through the channels and to his feet - his disallowed goal proved this yesterday!
