Guest axel
He would be superb, but not as a loan signing.
Guest antz1uk
says he's out of contract today on transfermarkt is that correct? Edit: ahhh apologies, when his Milan load stint ends, 3 year left on chelsea deal

NUFC_Chris
I wouldn't be in favour of signing him on a one year loan, only to give Chelsea back a better player with Prem experience.
Winn
The transfer window officially opens tomorrow. I am hoping they have just not announced anything yet until officially able to do so? Wishful thinking I know..

Wishful thinking I know.. That would make no sense Exactly thats why it makes perfect sense. No it doesnt at all. What possible reason would players/agents/other clubs have to agree to that sort of pointless exercise? As opposed to the far more likely scenario of us not actually doing a sodding thing yet? mrmojorisin75
I wouldn't be in favour of signing him on a one year loan, only to give Chelsea back a better player with Prem experience. It would certainly be a change to the norm, we usually send them back significantly worse or neglected.
Mike
We should call this thread the Monitoring thread and the Other club's transfers thread simply "Transfers". I did that before. iirc it did not go over well.
cosmic
Ashley's first goal of saving on wages in June has been met. Next goal is save on airfares and lodging for the upcoming trip to US so that means only signing new players after the trip. Unless they are already in US..... Guest chopey
From what I've seen of our French imports from last season I think the French well has run dry, unless McClaren can scrub the pardew/carver stink off them

Disco
Unsurprising that move to Monaco turned out to be a dogshit decision for him. Talent is there, somewhere although I doubt he'd flourish in Inglun.
sempuki
Monaco will love us for buying Riviere off them. Like the sound of their Centre Half more like.
Unbelievable
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-not-signed-anyone-9557346 Good summation of our current position imo. It's going to be another absolute disaster of a transfer window.
LooneyToonArmy
not sure about Ocampos...has potential. If we could convince Monaco to swap him with Riviere who actually scored a good amount of goals for them before....yeah that's not going to happen
TRon
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-not-signed-anyone-9557346 Good summation of our current position imo. It's going to be another absolute disaster of a transfer window. Charnley is the unqualified bottle neck ( or no neck in his case) who is likely to kill any deal to bring real quality here. In a bid to please his pay master he'll end up buying 4th or 5th choice players purely to save a few quid. More Riviere deals on the line no doubt. Hope the season ticket sales bomb.
