Think people are forgetting Lallana and Lovren pulled similar stunts to join Liverpool, then Rodgers went in the press criticizing Southampton for selling their best players and showing a lack of ambition Sterling is a bit of a tit but the media are only kicking up a fuss about this because he doesn't want to play for the mighty Liverpool. He is most certainly NOT going to start ahead of Butty. He will sit on their bench. And you know exactly why he'll choose to sit on their bench over start for Boro. He's not good enough any more to be a starter in the top flight. Nowhere near, as we discovered at the end of the season. Good bloke, top pro etc, but his days have been and gone. Whoever it was at Villa who thought giving a 35 year old keeper a five year contract on one of the highest wages at the club was a good idea needs to be dropped off a fucking cliff. Agree with all that, too. The entire sport is driven by self-interest. Liverpool get the hump about Sterling. We get the hump about Liverpool with Benteke. Whoever we buy from gets the hump about us.
