Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

Some of the last decade is unbelievable, really. Considering the stature of club we should be.

Imagine if someone took over Spurs now, installed Paul Merson as manager and got them relegated. This is the kind of thing we're talking about

David Icke - Son of God

Special podcast on the Ashley era. They said they would do it at Christmas. Good timing.

It's good.

Listened to that this morning. Funny and depressing in equal measure.

They missed loads out too. They could've turned it into a three or four parter.

Listening to the podcast now. Ta for sharing

With regards to this transfer window, it looks like yet another window where he's spent very little money. The arsehole.

Looks like Mike's realised you don't need to buy footballers when you can just borrow them.

It's the Sunderland model for us now then!

3 loan signings in January window- all outgoings covered! Can't believe I ever doubted this guy. We're doing so well to compete considering we're a tiny little broke club with a huge fanbase, stadium, history, and tradition!

Might be hopeful straw clutching but does anyone think we're bringing so many loans in because he doesn't want to put another penny into a club he's selling in the summer?

He wouldn't be putting any more of his money in. It's the club's money - money that is guaranteed to come in during the summer (PL competing fee) - that he is refusing to spend.

I worded it badly. Is it because he wants to top up whatever bid near to £300-350m that comes in with the club's money left over from this season that he hasn't allowed to spend on transfers and then sell and run?

I don't claim to know the wages of the players incoming / leaving but to loan out 8 and bring in 3 suggests to me that the wage bill will be significantly reduced, even if it is for just 6 months.

No outlay on transfer fees, guess who wins again!

My guess is that he's prettying the books by not heavily investing in either transfers nor wages.

I'd say we've near enough broken even over that window, certainly in terms of wages.

All reinforces the fact that he's very much on the market with it. That said, should we go down, he'll have risked everything for the sake of a few million quid.

I love the fact that Tino is tuning in to what is going on for us and commenting. Top man.

You do know that's Steve Wraith, right?

Is it? There's personal/selfie style videos on that feed though, of him out on runs talking to the camera and whatnot.
