Guest Geordiesned
From nufc.com; Bay took the lead after 17 minutes when Phil Bell capitalised on an Olivier Bernard error. Only a Phil Cave deflected effort on 38 minutes was a highlight for a uniformly poor United. But after the break Newcastle equalised in the 75th minute from the penalty spot when Matty Pattison converted after Doninger was fouled just inside the area. However, just four minutes later Bell restored Bay's lead, heading in Robson's free-kick after being left totally unmarked. Team: Forster, Bertram (Godsmark 46), Bernard (Doninger 46), Cavener, Lough, Troisi, Pattison, Gate, Cave, Carroll, LuaLua. Subs: Francis, Donaldson, Marwood,. Bay: Burke, Taylor, Phillips, Timmons, Coulson, Bell, Rowe (Walton 70), Robson, Woodhouse (McCormick 21), Minto (Sheeran 69), Kerr. Subs: Dugdale, Chandler. ...and Bernard reckons he'll get into the first team?!
Guest smoggeordie
It was an awful howler too, seemed to tred on the ball from where I saw it. Other than that he hardly put a foot wrong in the half he played. Other than that, we were dreadful. I want my 3 quid back!
Dokko
He's lucky to be playing football so a howler isn't that important right now. Glad to hear he had a decent game bar that, although he should against WB.

I thought he got caught out a couple of times mesel, defence looked poor in general, Troisi and Carroll played canny though. Was stood near Roeder 2nd half, on his mobile several times. Keefaz
Good on the Bay. Was there much of a crowd?
