The volume of shares traded isn't massive, the biggest purchase today (edit) yesterday was 10,000.

When a manager leaves the club due to bad results the shareprice in general goes up by 3.5 %, so the raise might depend on that.

Here's a link which shows volumes traded, its the second from end column, it doesn't look as if the share price rise has anything to do with a takeover.

Not on the cards, but it won't go away and will happen one day unless FS and Co seriously turn things around. Stands to reason when one part can't wait to get shot of their holding, while the other would love to own the club outright but doesn't have the confidence of fans or the money. FS would sell to the highest bidder and that's what it's all down to IMO.
