Poppies snap up Zola and Karembeu

We are pleased to confirm that Gianfranco Zola has confirmed that he will play for Kettering Town in our pre-season tournament on Sunday July 15th 2007. Voted Chelsea's best ever player, Zola is currently the Italian U-21 manager and we are sure our supporters are looking forward to him pulling on a Poppies shirt.

 

We can also confirm that Christian Karembeu (two time Champions league winner with Real Madrid and European Championship/World Cup winner with France) will be joining Zola.

 

We will confirm other names shortly, although six other internationals have provisionally confirmed their availability for this date. The format and other participants for the tournament will also be confirmed in due course.

We are currently working in partnership with A-Line who have been instrumental in bringing these great players for 15th July, to ensure this is a tournament to remember for all our supporters and the Town in general."
