Guest Moe-Ali
Bring him back See what he's like Let big sam work his magic on him,he's a fee agent aswell isn't he ? Why would he want to come to Newcastle again? Doubt he will be interested. This is very sad for Patrick because at his prime, he was one of the best players i have ever witnessed. You're asking completely the wrong question. Why would WE want him back here again? Depends who "WE" is. But if you take into consideration some of the things he said after parting with Newcastle, you would realize how slim the chances are of him coming back here, when people look back on Patrick's great career it will be Newcastle who are going to be remembered as the club who killed his career, which is very sad really. WE as in newcastle united. No one in their right minds would take a risk on this guy at the moment, certainly not a club like us who already have a good strike force. Hence, my point, why would we want him back here, its not a case of him not wanting to come here. Also, we're not going to be remembered as the club who killed his career, the guy was finished as soon as he left Barcelona. They let him go for a reason...because he was an injury prone, overpaid player who was never going to cut it at the top level again.
toontownman
Only thing that will be remembered for killing his career will be him. Doubt people will even remember where he went after Barcelona in years to come, he lost his desire long before he left Barca.
Guest maddog2
We played Ameobi ahead of Kluivert, I think it's fair to say we killed his career - or rather twatface Souness did.

They let him go for a reason...because he was an injury prone, overpaid player who was never going to cut it at the top level again. Barcelona got rid of him in after a season when he had only one injury, and that was a a slight hamstring pull, he was out for 2matches, and as to your 'overpaid' point, he took two wage cuts, because barca were having problems with their wage bill, and following his two wage cuts he was not offered another contract by barca, this is a mystery because he did not have a bad season, played 25(8substitute) and scored 13, and the season before that he was their top scorer with 22goals in 51 appearances. Toontownman, his career was killed at newcastle because they didnt consider the players health, playing him directly after coming back from injury, which forced him ultimately to undergo surgery on his knee, this knee has become very tough for him to heal. Not only at Valencia but also at PSV Eindhoven, also as maddog2 points out, his chances were minimal here 11 goals in 31(14substitution) Also whenever kluivert started for newcastle they had a winning percentage of just under 100%
