Guest sittingontheball Posted August 20, 2007 Share Posted August 20, 2007 Liverpool needed a jammy free kick (i.e., one of set piece things that Allardyce's teams rely on) to beat Aston Villa. To their credit, it was brilliantly converted by a world-class player. I wasn't happy with the performance and lineup yesterday, but its early days. If that was our established best lineup and they all were supposedly fit, then I'd be worried. Presumably Enrique and Barton were bought as first-choice players.
