Not sure if you're referring to my point on Potter, but that wasn't what I meant. I meant that managers need time and the good ones manage to get their teams playing a certain way. We don't have that at the moment, partly because the players aren't capable, and partly because Howe hasn't had time to get us playing the way he wants. I'm certain he eventually will, but it will take a couple of years.

I was watching Brighton the other night and was really impressed with how Potter has got them playing. I get the feeling every club is looking for a quick fix these days, rather than allowing a manager to impose his style on the team, with his own players. Obviously it's a results business and if you're not winning games you're going to be sacked, but part of me wants to see what Howe can do with a couple of seasons under his belt here. I wasn't a massive fan of him being appointed, but I don't want to become like Watford and change our manager every 6 months.

Be interesting to do a like for like comparison with Norwich, I haven't really paid much attention to their players.

I still love the guy, but he's been poor this season. Wish someone could work out how to make it work, as he should be such a likeable player.

Oh completely, and in some ways that makes it worse I just don't think any of us can pretend to have enjoyed things so far, other than seeing the end of Ashley, Bruce and Charnley. I suppose clearing the deadwood from the squad will be a huge relief.
