    New Number 9?

    That is Foluwashola to you.
  2. Don't talk s**** man You really think all of that's going to go on the team? You only have to look at Ashley's track record to this point. isn't his track record that he's put money in to keep the club afloat and for transfers ? He also has a track record of selling our best players.. Milner, Given, N'Zogbia, Carroll... Who's next? Tiote? Enrique? All four wanted to leave Doesn't mean you have to sell. Given wanted to leave 10 years ago, he didn't and was bloody brilliant for another 8 years or so.

  4. He doesn't, he was probably telling lies.
  5. It's too much for a player of his age.
  6. May as well give up now, disband the club, close it down.
  7. So is the standard of this Mackem. What mackem? Have you binned him? If so, .
  8. It's probably a whoosh, but if you're serious then £35m is only going about cos it's last day of transfers. No way is Carroll worth £35m. Wasn't David Villa a lot less? He was, but apparently Carroll is worth more than the world's best striker, despite being unproven at Premier League level, because he's "local". Still doesn't understand. Obviously not. Explain. I've already done it.

  10. who the f*** do you have better than those two like? who the f*** do you have better than those two like? On what basis can you claim that Carroll or Ben Arfa are a class above anyone? One of them has had six good months and the other has scored one good goal. You're living in a dreamworld mate. How many goals do you think Caroll might have scored if he was playing for a team who weren't so reliant on set pieces? When either of them has done it at the top level for a couple of years, then you can start to spout off about them. So anything Ben Arfa did before he signed for Newcastle doesn't count? As I've already said, you are an idiot. Like what? Just curious.... Playing for France? Playing in Champions League for OM and Lyon? Winning league titles with Lyon? Doesn't matter? Lad has only scored 1 goals in a black and white shirt so he mustn't be any good? So, he's class because he's got a few caps for France and has won the French League? OK the, applying your logic Sully Muntari has more international goals than Ben Arfa has caps, has won two Serie A's, the Champions League, Two Italian Super Cups, the Coppa Italiana, the FA Cup and the World Club Championships. How mint is he?!?!?!?!?! Still, we couldn't dream of having someone of the class of Ben Arfa, could we. Come back when you have learnt to read and comprehend the content contained within posts. Illiterate Mackem tbh, time to put him on ignore.
  11. How many goals will £30million in the club bank account score between now and the end of the season?

  13. This lad is doing Sunderland no favours, thick as pig shit.
  14. defoe and rooney must push bent close off the top of my head too and tevez Happy checking. Only Drogba has more tbh, 1 more. Rooney on the same number. Based on this season and 5 previous.
  15. That, quite frankly, is a lie. You're missing Carroll and Ben Arfa from you're best XI through injury. We have almost an entire team missing. That's not the point though. The point is that £30m for someone who has had six good months in the PL is absolutely outrageous - I take the point that Ashley may not re-invest it all but still, that's an outrageous figure. David Villa moved for less recently and he probably the best centre-forward in the world. Closer to home, Darren Bent moved for less recently and he has scored more goals than any other PL player over the past half-decade. You are a simpleton, you simply do not understand that a transfer fee is based on more than the ability of a player.
  16. According to some yes, on the solid argument that Villa has never played in the Premiership (see argument why Carrol is superior to Suarez). With that sort logic, Carroll is superior to Messi! Delusional loonies No, it's about his value to NUFC.
  17. David Craig gets his stuff straight from Llambias. I know that but remember "lying for PR purposes" from the KK tribunal. I just think Llambias uses Craig to get out whatever propaganda they want to promote at that time. There is no amount of PR to be had from lying about rejecting a bid then AC9 appearing in a LFC shirt later in the day.
  18. To us, probably, yes. As an individual based on ability and no external factors, no.
  19. That's because we've done good business already. We have a stronger squad now than we did three weeks ago and have even more wedge in the bank to be thrown around in the summer. £30m for someone with less than 20 PL goals ffs. The world's gone mad. Look at the money you've spent on absolute s**** since Quinn arrived. It must be hitting nearly £100million and you havent got anyone anywhere near the standard of Carroll, Tiote, Barton or Ben Arfa. Money isnt everything, having the players at your club is. Is that post a wind up? It's amazing to think that with all of these superior players, and our injury crisis, that you're not seven points ahead of us rather than seven points behind. Has the season finished already?
  20. Does his role and value to the club he is at not become a factor? What about his potential? What good is £30m today? We can't exactly do a lot with it in the next few hours and if we did I would be worried it would not be spent well. Can we attract a replacement as good as Carroll and with the potential he has? No. Are we in a position where we need £30m because we need to rebuild our entire team? No. We need to keep Carroll and our other key players and build, we're only a few very good signings away from having a very good team here imo. Can we get those signings in the next few windows? Time will tell but selling Carroll now, even for £30M, would be idiotic. All this talk of £30m and you seem to forget that it's about more than just his ability and half a season in the Premier League, there are so many more factors than that.
  21. And look at it on the otherside, we have a striker now thats worth more then 30 mil and other teams sniffing round. i think retaining the asset is far better. Assets can depreciate as well as appreciate - he would need to come back fit and continue to score goals or his price will plummet. There's no guarantee he'll do that - teams will inevitably start to come to terms with him (like they tend to do with all players) so he'll find it increasingly difficult. This time last year Bobby Zamora was the next big thing.... You could buy half a dozen good players with £30m. Like I said, if they've turned that down they are absolutely mental. Incompetent. Bitter nonsense.
  22. I wouldn't sell today full stop, even for £40m+, if someone comes in with an offer like that in the summer it is a totally different scenario though.
