  1. Sven would be a good replacement but the only worry with getting him is he will probably be on astronomical wages and knowing Fred he will offer him a 5 year contract. In 2 years if it is going tits up then we'll end up having to buy out his contract for millions

  2. This season has just gone from bad to worse and is now a complete and utter CRISIS as far as I am concerned. We are now going to have nobody in the team who will score regular goals in the team until January so we are well and truely in a relegation battle now. Absolute f**kin shambles this season has now become and does anyone have faith in us to score against Sheff Utd?

    me....arnt i stupid!

I bet you thought we'd score against Charlton too didn't you  bluelaugh.gif

  4. I was in favour of getting Allardyce as i thought he was the best man we could get. I had MON 2nd on my prefered options and if we could not get him then i would have been happy with Roeder because of the job he had done to get us into europe (not counting Hitzfeld and the other dutch bloke whose name escapes me as they were never really an option)

So if we were turned down by SA and MON then Roeder was my choice as well but i reckon with more effort the fat man could have gotten one of the 2 i mentioned

  5. 5 points gained from 15 available at home. That's the stat that scares the hell out of me.

Yeah, it's not good. But we aren't as bad as our position in the league. Under Souness we most definately were.

    the league table doesn't lie.

you can make all the chances in the world but if you can't score and can't defend then you're in the shite.

We've scored 3 in 2 and conceded none.

So we can evidently do both.

 Basically it is just the portsmouth reserves game which makes the stats look as they are, as we didnt score against Charlton

  6. What has Roeder against Luque ????

He's seen absolutely nothing that suggests that Luque could come on and turn a game.

Whereas the dross on the pitch are capable? He must be half decent if the Depor fans still worship him...just give him a run of games

  7. Oh ffs Bramble is gash why do people constantly say he is good? What attributes are you talking about? His blunders on the ball which let the opposition in, long balls which 90% time result in goal kick/keeper having it or his non existant marking?

  8. he is ****ing ugly mind

My mate seen him in town  one day and asked him if he could have a photo with him as his mother fancied him rotten (not really), the tw@t believed it as well and was acting all smug

  9. Notts Co v Wycombe - Notts County... that's a total guess. Both are doing well.

Spurs v Port Vale - Spurs will win that easily.

Brum v Liverpool - Liverpool will win that easily.

Chelsea v Villa - Tough one, but i think Chelsea will beat them, and that's good news cos i fancied Villa.

Watford v Newcastle - I think we'll beat them but we have to be careful.

Chesterfield v Charlton - Charlton will win that reasonably comfortbaly.

Southend v Man Utd - Man Utd will cruise this one.

Everton v Arsenal - Everton will beat Arsenal's reserves.

Hard to say Charlton will win comfortably after Chesterfield have already beaten man city, west ham and wolves in the competition so far and i also see Southend giving man utd a game if they play a similar team as they did against Crewe. Would also prefer Villa to win as Chelsea apparantly played nearly their first team against Blackburn so they are the ones to beat!

  10. Can anybody think of anything positive to take from Newcastle United at this moment in time?

I'm really struggling. The whole club is rotten at the moment.

We have an incompetent oaf as chairman and an ineffectual Mr Nice in the managers chair. He's ably supported by Terry McDermott and Lee Clark. Why should anybody expect progress to be made with these three organising the side?

The playing staff have undoubted talent but have either given up, are woefully underperforming (Duff, Milner, NZogbia, Martins, Emre) or are simply not good enough (Ramage, Taylor, Carr, Shola). The talent we do have is mainly currently injured (ie Given and Owen) leaving only Scott Parker trying to carry a dismal side. No wonder he always looks knackered.

The squad is thin and we seem to have a collection of incredibly average youngsters, a lot of whom will never get anywhere near the Premier League.

Sorry for the depressing post, but its very infuraiting, especially when you look at Aston Villa. One good managerial appointment can turn a club on its head. Similarily a bad one can sink it. Shepherd sunk this club in the autumn of 2004 when in his wisdom, he appointed Graeme Souness.

I never thought i'd say this again but at this moment in time, i would love to see Kevin Keegan back. If only maybe to work alongside Roeder. If nothing else he would at least spark a little bit of interest and life back into the club because at the moment we are on a life support machine.

Bit harsh on Taylor as i think he can come good for us given time and played well today. The positives i guess were our first half performance where we totally dominated and created glorious opportunities for Sibierski and Martins
