  1. I think Pardew really needs to earn his money in the next week. Transfer dealings, potential transfer dealings, boardroom antics and fan opinion aside, he needs to do one thing - unite the team for the start of their Premier League campaign in 1 week's time in front of 50,000+ of their own. If he can do that and get you something against Arsenal after what has been a seemingly very trying few days for one reason or another, then he deserves some credit. Equally, for your sake, I hope fans don't turn on him completely if you don't do well in the first 2 games. It could get messy if you're on 0 points after the derby. It will be interesting to see how Pardew manages a team full of French players, most of whom have little experience of British football. I've quite grown to like Pards since my early hostile reaction. I just wonder if these guys are being brought in with his blessing because it won't be easy managing a foreign dressing room. Knocking off their wives? But in all seriousness Neil, this reaction is justified. We're not in the same position as Everton - we don't have a benefactor who sees us as a football club. He sees us as a loanee who needs a kick in the shins to cough up.
  2. I prefer you when you're pissed and arguing with Sewelly. Get back on the turps.
  3. Because that's not how the club will see it? Underlying issues wont be addressed beacause Obertan is the new great white hope. Any your sure of that why? Because this is Newcastle United.

  5. Oh, I'll give him a chance. I'd love it if he turned out to be the next Pele and I was left looking like a right fuckwit. I wont though.
  6. Is that you in the avatar? Yes. I'm a nonce.
  7. More to the point, if we were going to sell Routledge why are we also trying to flog Kazenga if this is the fucking alternative? Who here would rather paying cash for Obertan than take a chance on Lua Lua?
  8. RMC reckon 3-4m euros. How many starving kids could you feed with that amount of money? What a cunting waste.
  9. I just think he's complete dung. People say he's fast etc. but he can barely even run right. He's turned a few defenders 'cause he looks awkward as fuck and the defender hasn't a fucking clue what's going on. The problem is, Obertan doesn't either. Neil, stick me in you sig. I'll drink my own piss if he plays to an average level. He's basically the French Shola, plus pace.
  10. I don't want to be right, but I know I'm right. He's shit. I'll give it six games max before everyone comes round to my way of thinking.
  11. Like Bebe? Man United under Fergie has signed loads of s**** especially in the Obertan/Bellion/Kleberson mold, it just gets swept under the carpet because he's handy at winning things with the players who don't turn out to be offensive to the eyes of anyone with an appreciation of the finer points of the game. As for the "at least it's a body in" craic, that's just depressing. It's exactly how the club want the fans to look at every transfer - yay, we've signed someone. It doesn't matter if he's utter f***ing tosh it's better than nowt. Bugger me I wouldn't associate Bebe with the others tbh. Maybe not Kleberson as he was a World Cup winner but he's in the same league of Obertan and Bellion, players where no one can really quite believe they've signed for Man United because on the basis of their career so far they're a bit pony. Meh maybe so. I just think people are so defeatist, not even kicked a ball and he's turbo shite. Lets face it, we rarely get players we believe are going to be shit who then tear it up.
  12. When I've seen him he's ran the ball out of play, scuffed simple shots at goalkeepers, assaulted opposition players and generally looked a bit lost. Oh, but he does a good step over.
  13. "He's the best average footballer I've ever seen"
  14. Because that would mean bringing someone in who plays in a position we actually need to strengthen. Madness. The reaction on here to us signing Macheda would be unreal. It would be my Anders Breivik moment.
  15. It's harder for them to publically insult the fuckwits running the club if they can't speak the language.
  16. Because strikers are meant to score goals, not look like they've wandered off the set of Jersey Shore?

  19. That's actually lightened my mood. Well done
  20. He's not a striker. Hailed as the new Thierry Henry, the Frenchman primarily plays as a striker but can also play in the midfield on either wing with his biggest threat his searing speed. From 2009 when Man U were about to sign him. That means we can write off any deal for another striker or winger then.
  21. We'd have been better off burning whatever money we're spending on him. He's bobbins.
