It's going to go right down to the wire this, literally can't afford to drop a point!
Hopefully win it on GD!!

This really is a great opportunity! Pressured penalty shootout infront of nearly 90,000 people, but not the worst thing in the world if you don't win!
You never really get to replicate situations like this!
-
Couple of really good saves in this shootout so far!!

Goalkeeping disaster in the women’s finalissima
First mistake she's made since winning her place back last year! Bad time for it!!
Penalty shoot out should be interesting, good practise potentially for the world cup in a couple of months

There a top of the table, potential title decider in the women's game between Chelsea and Manchester United live on BBC 2 this lunchtime. Will be interesting to see what they do with that!!
I think they're going to use fifferent commentary provided by the FA, but will there be anyone to actually host the programme??

Big game next Tuesday as the women's team take on Durham at Kingston park.
Durham are currently 7 points clear but we have 2 games in hand, so this game will go a long way to deciding who wins the league
Would be good to get a decent crowd there, tickets are only £1 for under 16s and £3 for adults

I watched about 30 mins of the Eng womens game the other week - some of the football they play is really good - Reece James’ sister is class - there’s a lot of similarity with the mens team in terms of talent - the ladies team has a better coach and 2 top class CBs on their sideWomen's League cup final is on BBC in an hour, should be a good quality game, Arsenal V Chelsea.
If it goes to (the very boring) script Arsenal will start strong, Chelsea will win comfortably, Sam Kerr will score

If anyone is still looking for somewhere to watch the match near wembley, tickets for this place are on sale. Sounds like Stack, about 35 minute walk from Wembley Stadium

Anyone know how easy it is to use the lifts in Wembley? My father in law will not make it up those steps, but all it seems to say on the website is that there is lifts! No rules on who can use them!

LNER operating dry trains on Sunday. Where there's a will there's a way though...
Is this not just trains coming back from London? So should still be able to drink in the way down?

I thought that was still a thing, we just wanted to do it the right way and grow naturally. Thought you could still apply to jump up to the PL2 or something. Could be a very long journey if not.
I think it was just a 1 off thing. Manchester United (who previously didn't even have a team) got put in the championship, turned full time professional and got promoted after just 1 season up to the WSL.
A few years later, and they're currently top of the league!!

Looks like it's going to come down to that match. Same as last season. Wonder if they will just apply to go up, if they miss out again. Frustrating with just one team going up. The players and staff have been doing a great job.
What's even more frustration, is if they do go up and then somehow win that league, they don't automatically get promoted!! They have to have a play off with the team who win the Southern equivalent of the league!
It's also ridiculous that only 1 team gets promoted from the championship into the WSL each year! The game is growing, but it feels like the people in charge are doing everything they can to halt the growth at club level
-
That's a pretty amazing attendance for the 4th tier! Man city V Arsenal in the WSL yestersay only got a few hundred more than that!
They really really need to win the league this year, looks like it will be between them and Durham!
-
The players are thinking about the cup final, and they know it doesn't matter how shit they play, Eddie (who I love) won't change the starting 11!!

Think there’s a one mile exclusion zone from selling alcohol around the stadium since the Euros debacle. Not sure what time that comes into effect though?
We’re probably going to stay wherever we are on Sunday morning until about 2ish then just head straight to the stadium. And pay about £12 for a pint once inside.
Does the 1 mile exclusion include hotels in the area?

Have people in categories 4, 5 and 6 received emails yet?

Next season will be interesting as guaranteed all season ticket holders will make sure they get tickets for home cup games, meaning less available for members!

Will be interesting to see what happens here, because Chelsea want her too, and we all know they've got money to burn!!
Man u are in a decent position to qualify for the womens champions league for the first time, but they won't do it if they lose Russo now. But, she can go for a free in the summer so it's their last chance to make some money!!

is there no way to see any post match stuff on Sky now that they've moved on to the NLD?

Massively pissed me off actually.
Same, I've never seen it like that before. Looked like it was only 15/20% full!

Yea exactly the same issue. Evri have confirmed they've lost the item and that I need to contact Castore for a refund. I've emailed them 4 times over the past 2 weeks and not a single response!
-
I was 6000, went down quite quickly though and just got my ticket now! Seems like still a fair few available

Said this for ages. Women keepers are, generally rank, occasionally beyond rank.
The only decent one I've ever seen was Hope Solo and I've never seen her play ?
Seriously tho, I'm not sure why the people that run woman's football in the UK haven't done what the Ploympic rowing/cycling teams have done, for over a decade, and targeted young girls with attributes that fit the sport/position and train them up.
There just hasn't been any investment in women's football at all until the last few years, and the investment there has been, has only been at the top level!
The keeper playing today will almost certainly never have had actual proper goal keeping training. If she has, it will be a recent thing compared to boys, who will have it from a very early age!
In the WSL (top women's league in this country) up until a few years ago, most teams didn't even have a goal keeper coach!
The standard at international level has improved hugely over the last few years, but it will be a long time before tier 4 teams have good quality keepers!
Great occasion today though! Just hope we can get promotion his season and we can start to invest properly

Anyone else find the tickets difficult to get via the site? Doesn't seem to be in the obvious 'ticket' section...
I got two like. In the end.
Yea I could only find it by going via the link on twitter
It's an awful booking system too, hope that gets upgraded at some point!

Arsenal Women are about to kick off in a sold out Emirates stadium for their champions league semi- final.
That's the dream for our team, but feels like a lifetime away!!
