Simpson is a mid-table-at-best right back, and anyone that extolls his virtues either doesn't actually go and see Newcastle regularly, or doesn't know what a RB should do.
His positional sense is almost Bramble-esque (another player that some retards on here defended), and his abilities to track back, tackle and move the ball forward are all massively overated by the same idiots that think Williamson and Perch are capable defenders.
If Pardew had done his job in the transfer window, we'd have gotten a new LB (not Anita, before the fuckwits who base their knowledge on FM start, you're idiots) ,stopped playing Santon out of position, and gotten rid of Simpson. As it is, we're stuck with him, and a team no one is unprepared for. Mid table looms, even thoudg "we're NUFC, so we must be good enough". Fuck off.
-
After our pathetic transfer window, 10th.
Too many clubs below us last season have strengthened, and despite what many cretins on here think, the fact that "we're Newcastle" doesn't make us good enough by default.
-
The decision to play a high line isn't really to do with our personnel though is it? It's more to do with the opposition strikers.
I mean, even the best CBs in the world would struggle when playing high up the pitch with little protection and Long/Andy Johnson/Odemwingie running in behind them. If they were that fast they wouldn't be centre halves.
Yes, but we only have one decent CB, Colo, never mind the "best in the world" struggling. Our Championship players are proving the system does not work for poor-quality defenders.

This last page has been cringeworthy at best. Perch better than Mike? Who the fuck said that? Should never watch a football game again. Perch has had nothing, and I say nothing to do all season. Best player hes played is an out-of-form Drogba and we conceded 3 goals. Fucking abysmal player and his best game in a Newcastle shirt was against a championship club where he had fuck all to do and we still lost.
He just makes the whole team nervous and worse, its clear no one in the team relies on him when played as a centrehalve.
Neither Perch nor Williamson are good enough for a top-half Premiership side, by a long shot.
We NEED a new CB, and Pardew has known this for two months.
Tell me, all of you wjho can drag your toungues out of AP's crack long enough - why has your brilliant manager not bought a CB at the START of the transfer window, given that we only have ONE fit Premier League quality player in that position?? Oh, let mne guess, it won't be his fault. Fuck off. Its cost us a number of points since Taylor got crocked, and you anre too stupid or too sycophantic to see it. Arseholes.
-
I see that arsehoel Pardew has came out and said "we're a big club". No, you wanker, we're not, but there'll be some one-eyed idiots who fall for it.
Long ball from both teams tonight. Hey ho.
-
The club lie to us - FACT. The manager, the chairman, the owner - they all lie to us - FACT.
-
So, our squad is big enough to cope without Ba and Tiote is it, Pardew, you cretin.
Even the most one-eyed supporter can surely see that the likes of Lovenkrands and fucking Ameobi aren't goign to be scoring us enough goals to replace Ba??
But no, no doubt the apologists will find a way to make what he said ok. After all, the Fat Cunt will be investing all of the Carroll money, won't he......oh, i see. Ha.
-
Let me guess - Pieters is also one of the best LBs in the world, and all of the ITKs know how great he is/how much he desperately wants to come to NUFC......hahahaahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
Jesus, this place is still great. As soon as some ITK arsehole writes something down, its true! Its like a forum full of Alan Olivers.
-
i LOVE how there are suddenly so many experts on previously-unknown LBs on here, hahahahahaha!!!
What a load of shite. Same old n-o forums, same old pretend ITKs. You haven't seen him play, you had never heard of him before, you have no inside knowledge, you bunch of cretins.
-
Well done Newcastle, yet another step backwards. All we need to hear now is that he is injured, to complete our usual massive fuck up.
-
Wright-Phillips?? That shows how much Pardew is living in the past - it's been many years since SWP was deemed an adequate footballer. He's no better than what we have now, and what we have isn't great.
-
What are the odds on us going down now?
I want to put a decent bet on before Liverpool rape us, and before the bookies slash the odds too muchg once Pardew starts to work his "magic".
-
Looking at this sensibly, lets not dwell too much on how poor we think Pardew is as a manager because it could have been so so much worse.
What about the managers they could have appointed.
Roy Keane anyone? how about the ex Hull manager and mackem lover Phil Brown or maybe Ian Dowie or Billy Davies? Tony Pulis might have fancied a crack or even Mick McCarthy. Then there is Gordon Strachan who was available!
Looking at the appointment of Pardew from this perspective, it doesn't look too bad now compared to what might have been does it?
What about if they didn't have to appoint anyone at all?? Because thats the situation the fat cunt SHOULD have been in.
Now we have a POOR manager, who we won't be able to sack because of his contract, and we WILL lose some important players before the start of next season.
-
So we shoudl fully support a poor manager that was unable to keep a job at a team 2 tiers below us, and respect the actions of an owner and MD that have no feelings or understanding for the club, and little o rno football knowledge or intelligence?
Why don't we all go and buy extra stuff from Sprts Direct, too, to show what great fans we are?

- A kick up the backside for the players who were getting too comfy.
I'm sorry, but if you seriously believe that then you are insane. This will turn the players into a pile of mushy s***.
KaKa is rather insane, tbf.
Hey, that's messed up. Cool your jets my friend.
The players should quit the tweeting all their sorrows tbh. What they should have done is put in more effort yesterday.
I hope we get someone who is tough on them next. They're a bunch of softies. Wonder if Rijkaard would fancy it ... don't answer that btw.
Also, the more they tweet, the less the pretendy ITK's can make things up.

Current odds (Bet 365)
Alan Pardew 5/6
Martin O'Neill 7/2
Alan Curbishley 10/1
Joe Kinnear 20/1
Paul Lambert 25/1
Lee Clark 25/1
Martin Jol 25/1
David Moyes 25/1
Peter Beardsley 25/1
Alan Shearer 33/1
Jesus. Jol and Moyes are the only 2 good ones. Even WE are better than Pardew, but we're probably about right for O'Neil - mediocre manager, mediocre club.
-
Potential positives
- A kick up the backside for the players who were getting too comfy. YES SHOLA I MEAN YOU!
- Maybe, just maybe, a top experienced manager comes in, as wishful as it might be.
- Some new players in January, which the top manager insists upon.
- Shola being sold.
- Alan Smith being sold.
The first one is lunacy, the players liked Hughton and no doubt hate Ashley.
The rest will never happen.
Anything else?
"Top manager"?? muahahahaahahaha!! Only top clubs get top managers. We are NOT a big/top club.

It seems like Campbell is the first player to come out and speak on this issue.
Newcastle United defender Sol Campbell has spoken of his admiration for axed boss Chris Hughton and claims the manager's shock sacking will have a negative impact on the club's morale.Campbell, who made his 500th Premier League appearance this weekend, told ESPNsoccernet: "Chris is such a lovely guy. Top man. This will hit the players hard. The players admired him, and liked him, and won't be happy now he's gone like this."
The former England, Arsenal and Tottenham centre-back added: "You have got to ask yourself why this has happened because it makes no sense. Here is a guy who has done an unbelievable job. He got the club back into the Premier league and any manager would have been rewarded for that with a new contract - but Chris wasn't.
"The players are sure to be asking themselves 'what the hell is going on?', that is only natural.
"We all had a good relationship with the players, and when we left training this morning none of the players had a clue this was coming.
"But word started to spread that the bookies had stopped taking bets and the players started texting each other with the news.
"Yes, it has come as a shock, and it will affect the dressing room there is no doubt about that."
100% lost the dressing room then.
Fucking idiots.
To be fair, Hughton is a nice guy and the majority of people on here (and no doubt linked with the club) have been strongly rooting for him over the past 18months. I can't see players, if they did have an issue with him, running to the press on the day he's sacked to stick the knife in.
So what evidence is there that he lost the dressing room? I'm yet to hear of any. Nothing. You are making up reasons for his sacking because there is no acceptable reason for it.
Ooh, ooh, i know what evidence!! None, cos its a pretend ITK like all the other cunts on forums like this.
-
He wasnt a great manager, but he DID seem to bring the dressing room together, and get the players behind him.
Be interesting to see if the next victim is able to continue that.
Mike Ashley is an utter cunt, and has to be seen as the luckiest man alive.
-
Barton's injury, is it really an injury then? (Going on the thesis of Hughton losing the dressing room).
According to a player at the club both Nolan and Barton are injured.
ITK. No, i don't think so.
-
I hope that Saturdays game is seen as the reality check it should be. Blackpool have the temporary top flight impetus, which means they may well beat teams in the bottom 6. As we are VERY much a bottom 6 team, we shouldn't be surprised they beat us.
With a team containing a lack of genuine premiership quality in some areas, we'll struggle this season.
-
He is, and always has been, an utter knob. When he does himself in, no-one who's ever met him or seen the way he goes on will aprticularly shed a tear.
Very good footballer, shit person. Meh.
-
I am VERY impressed that we seem, despite our excellent league position and the strong possibilty of promotion, to have bought players who will do a gret job in the Championship, but who surely no-one can think are going to be good enough for the Premiership. Maybe we are planning for the season after next??
-
Woodgate is by a country mile the better player. But Colo is far, far less injury prone. I'd rather have an average but available player than a gifted one out of the team.

No, but it DOES make you the same kind of stupid cunt.
