We can't sell the lot, but I'd love to see 1 or 2 get punched it the face for their efforts this season.
-
No question, we need a lot of new players. But billionaire or not, that sort of cash isn't getting spent. Surely the reason Wise/Jiminez/Vetere are on the payroll is to find the emerging talent and continental bargains without bankrupting us.
-
Why is it always the manager that gets this abuse and one or two obvious targets like Smith and Carr? I was just thinking today about how little respect I have for our current set of players. And I don't think that it is purely down to their lack of ability. Starting with obvious candidates like Barton and Smith, then Emre and Butt's thugish behavior....mercenaries like Viduka. N'Zogbia's attitude. There are players like Milner who have obvious limitations and might be out of their depth, but at least they try and act like professionals. Some of them....I don't know. I just don't like these people. I wish they played for other clubs. I hate the fact that the club's fate is in their greedy, incompetent hands. I realize that many clubs employ nasty characters, but how did we end up with the most expensive and least talented group?

The idea between the Wise/Jimenez/Vetere appointments was hopefully a recognition that this summer will have to be a massive rebuilding project and possibly an effort to find quality talent in England and abroad without paying 6-10 mil a player.
-
The only ones i would be inclined to keep from the first team are Milner, Harper, Given, Beye, Martins, Faye, Enrique and N'Zogbia if his attitude improves. For me the rest are either too old, too s**** or too lazy to get any better.
I agree with that list, but even then I'd sell anyone if the price was right.

Our best XI:
Given
Beye
Cacapa
Faye
Enrique
Duff
Geremi
Emre
Milner
Owen/Martins
Carroll/Viduka
Young lads and reservists on the bench, give them a chance.
Smith, Butt and Taylor to be frozen in carbonite Han Solo style next to Sir Bobby's new statue as a warning to all those who follow.

All we need is a little self belief, some confidence AND AN ENTIRELY NEW SQUAD OF PLAYERS BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL 100% FUCKING USELESS.
11 Goals to one fucking team? Fuck off. Nobody does that. NOBODY. Not even non-league opposition in a cup tie. Cunts. All of them.
-
if that doesn't say it all: carroll makes a dangerous run and jimmy milner doesn't even recognize it and dribbles it in to three defenders...
But he works hard!!!!
-
Even bad teams are capable of losing 0-1 to Man Utd or Arsenal. We are regularly getting humiliated.
-
to be honest, if i was shay, i wouldnt want to play with his worthless, fizzy pop quality team mates
FYP

Taylor's defending on that second goal was laughable.
Why is he turning his back on Ronaldo?
That goal was TOTALLy on Barton, gave the ball away needlessly defence totally of balance. He's beyond s**** tbh
BTW For those calling for Keegans head, he won his first game the last time he took over then we lost several horribly, we avoided relegation by one game, it asn't until the following summer when he got "his" players in that things started to get better.
I for one will give him as long again
Spot on. What does Taylor's positioning have to do with that second goal? Is he supposed to anticipate Barton's inability to pass forwards?
-
The only way I'm watching the second half is if Nicky Butt comes out the tunnel wearing the "I've had a shiter" shirt.
-
Right, not watching any more of this.
-
Lovely, Barton, just lovely.
-
We haven't been bad, but we only look capable of doing 75-80% of what you need to do to score a goal. Even when we get forward, we don't create chances.
-
Our corners are such a waste of time.
-
Owen lays one on Vidic.
-
Alan Smith, lol.
-
That image in the pre-match thread was spot on.

I hope Butt and James Milner pass to our players today, I really do.
fulham 0-1 west ham
Great news, all things considered.
-
Hell, Butt & Smith again. Makes you wonder what they have to do to get dropped.

If I didn't know better I'd think the Sunday papers sold more copies if they throw in a weekly story about a Newcastle sacking/takeover/op ed slagging.
Keegan eyes spending spree

Sacking/selling some of the current squad will be just as satisfying as bringing in their replacements. I can't wait to see where some of them end up.
